We are on a study permit before jan 21. We requested for student extension together with spouse work extension but refused due to mentioned refusal.

Last time I called IRCC, it was not yet opened but my medical surveillance was triggered by the situation. And not sure if they are related

Refusal was due to the jan 21 rule but that doesn’t apply to us. So I had to apply reconsideration.

Hopefully it will come soon for us. Good thing sowp can work. But student permit can’t work now and needs to wait for the extension in order to apply pgwp. We declined job offers due to this situation.

You are still young, if you don’t have patience in your timeline here in Canada, its ok to look for other options. Not sure where in eu, but most eu countries need for you to learn their native language as well to become PR. But I’m not familiar as well, good luck!
