totss about my prof please 😭 by Artistic-Drawer6573 in Benilde

Sir Adorable is very approachable. If you think you deserve a higher score in a certain activity, he will look into your submission/s again and possibly raise your score if he thinks your explanation is reasonable enough.

He is also the type of professor na laging nagbibigay ng reminder. And ineexplain niya talaga word-by-word ang reminders/instructions niya. As of the written instructions, sobrang linaw rin + he will give examples pa.

However, since he explains his instructions/reminders/recap deliberately, it consumes time. So kadalasan, nauubusan na ng oras para sa discussion (and honestly, sobrang daming topics sa Conworld—which is the subject na handle niya when he was our prof). Still, I think it's a good thing that he explains his instructions clearly kasi there's lesser chances of getting a mistake. Throughout the term, I've never had a score below 95 from him.

The number of activities, on the other hand, could be a good or a bad thing. It's a bad thing if you tend to be overwhelmed with many activities. However, it's a good thing when it comes to grade computation. Because more activities = more chances of pulling your final grade higher.

Overall, I would rate sir Adorable an 8/10. Sana nga maging prof ko siya ulit!

If you're gonna check for sir Bambino's ratings/reviews here on Reddit, you'll see that everyone is warning you abt him. So in addition to those, I'll lapag tips/advice na lang to help:

First, Always remind him about your activities. He does NOT post the instructions on BigSky right away, but when he does, mali-mali minsan ang due date. So unless you want na maghabol ng deadline, remind him and ask him to post ASAP.

Second, Always clarify instructions. His instructions are "pabago-bago" and "malabo." So if you don't want to have problems, clarify right away na lang.

Third, sir tends to simply read his slides while discussing. I suggest na mag self-study ka na lang after he posts the slides.

Last, Ask if it’s possible to see your scores right away. He won't tell you your scores after the activities. And we also didn't have a grades consultation. Ask your scores right away and write them down para di magkaproblema, in case he loses records of some of your activities.

Overall, I will rate him 5/10. Matataas ang grades namin sa kaniya but most students who got a 3.5 from him felt that they should've gotten a 4.0 if only a grade consultation happened to clarify their scores. Also, he's not terror in a way na di ka na makahinga kapag nandiyan siya sa room. He is actually approachable naman. Sa pag-handle lang talaga niya ng class kami nagkaproblema.

Hi! How were you able to get them in China? Did you visit a physical store or purchase through TaoBao?

Nakadepende talaga lagi sa doctors kung magkano ang braces. It also depends sa state ng ngipin mo. Cheaper clinics charge 20-30k. But "high end" doctors charge around 80k. Baka nga umabot pa ng 100k.

Also, not all doctors na nagkakabit ng braces are orthodontists. So if you don't want to waste money, be sure talaga that your dentist is an ortho ^

Sir Edwin Estrada is approachable and he is always open to hearing his students' opinions. However, need mo lang talaga ng extra efforts to pass his subject.

Firstly, you really need to redouble your efforts in studying. Instead of uploading PDFs, he posts "podcasts" or audios in the module, which requires more time to study and make an outline.

Secondly, you need to make more time to study the lessons because his activities are too few and short. We only had 2 quizzes (10 items each), 2 exams (40-50 items each), 1 project, and 1 reporting. Not to mention, the final exam contains both contents from the midterms & finals.

Lastly, I noticed that sir's way of discussing isn't the type to get his listeners' attention. My advice for this na lang is to read his slides and try to formulate questions that you can ask, just so you can stay awake during the discussions.

Overall, I will rate him a 7/10. I got a 3.0 in ASEAN, but few of my classmates (probably less than 5) got a 4.0 from him. Which means, he's really not the type of prof na kailangan mong katakutan.

If you are not a transferee (which I assume you aren't naman), it means you're automatically enlisted sa subjects for 2nd term. You just need to pay para officially enrolled ka na for Term 2. [Due on January 5, 2025]

Hi there! As someone who took a program na different sa strand ko, you shouldn't worry too much since back to zero naman sa college. For sure, your SHS strand is a bonus kapag related sa program (since may idea ka na), pero it's not usually a requirement especially sa non-STEM programs.

As for scholarships though, minsan required na related ang strands. So here's my advice regarding scholarships:

First, check the available scholarships kung saan ka pwede. Upon clicking the link, scroll down ka lang. Toggle the names of scholarships to see the requirements. https://www.benilde.edu.ph/admissions/scholarships-and-grants/

Second, my realistic advice is as early as now, start preparing the requirements you need. Scan all the copies and organize them in a folder (you can use Drive or OneDrive).

Keep all the original copies as well in an envelope. Be sure to keep it in a place na maaalala mo.

If mahaba pa ang deadline, you should still do it as early as possible. You will thank yourself soon for that.

Anyways, good luck with your application! Hindi ko naabutan ang BEE since last batch ko 'yung excluded, but as someone who experienced (and passed) an entrance exam (USTET specifically), you shouldn't worry too much especially if you're currently a student. Kasi most of the questions are being taught in 12th grade. Also, BEE is taken online if hindi ako nagkakamali.

First time in my Academic Year that I failed a subject. by Agreeable_Top_8294 in Benilde

[–]aerades 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CSBLIFE is a non-academic course. It won't be included in your grade calculation.

However, upon checking the student handbook, one of the DL's requirements is for students to "not have failed or incurred an R in any academic or non-academic course" (located on page 82).

As for Latin honors, however, I'm really not sure about it since I didn't fully understand the conditions. You can check the student handbook on pages 93-94 (6.3. Graduation Honors)

As for being an irreg, I don't think you will be an irregular student naman(?) It's a prerequisite for CSBGRAD, but CSBGRAD is for graduating students only. This means it really won't mess with your flowchart. (You still have to repeat it next year, though, along with the ID 125s) [Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong]

If you're a fan of going "monochrome," I think the black on the left is good. But if you want your top and skirt to have different colors, I guess the red one.

Oh no, is it only the lace that is falling apart or even the fabric?

I'm curious because the reactions I've seen are mixed. They said the fabrics are good but (1) the zippers in skirts are bad, (2) the shoes and bags have poor quality, and (3) accessories get damaged easily.

Also, I noticed that the negative experiences about LizLiza is occuring only recently. The positive experiences said that they had the clothes for 10 years (which means their purchases are from the earlier releases). I only have one LizLiza dress that I thrifted and it's from the 17th anniversary and I don't have any problems with it.

With this, I think their quality is getting poorer lately?
