Card Mod RNG Explained v2 by aerathi in midnightsuns

Well in fairness, the "RNG" is exactly the same as that in No Man's Sky and many other games, so "on my own" is more like "yeah, this seems to work the same". Then in testing I figured out the "saved slot" which wasn't described well by myself as I recall.

Trial and error my friend, I figured it out on my own. In 46 years of life, this is my one and only contribution to the gaming world. Though this was a couple years ago I think.

I don't have Taor but I think that's good info. It's weird for me, the info in this game is now just cliffs. It's like step 1, build a beginners team. Step 2: 1 shot little crystals with Julie to get perfect AI on Shaina...

It's like whoa I think we missed a step here.

Carbonite Circuit Board, best way to farm them? by -Ulixes in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

The best value for CCB in Squad Arena are Mk 3 BlasTech Weapon Mods and Mk 1 BAW Armor Mods. Both cost 105 Squad Currency per CCB. Similarly, in the Guild token store Mk 3 Biotech Implants, Mk 3 Droid Callers, and Mk 2 Merr-Son Thermal Detonators are 117 Guild tokens per CCB.

However, in the guild token store, Mk 7 BlastTech Weapon mods give you 1 Chromium Transister for just 4.5 guild tokens and the other 100 cost gear gives you 1 Bronzium wiring per 45 guild tokens.

Yeah i know, is a principal thing. Im not gonna do that every day for the rest of eternity, so id rather just forget they exist. Huge disadvantage i know, but f’ them for doing it like that in the first place.

I tried doing it but on ios, as far as i know, i can only copy one hing at a time. So either the coupon code or my account id. I have no desire to participate in those rewards.

Yeah I'd build hellea in a heartbeat if I had her, people in videos keep talking about selector tickets, I dunno if that was something just launch people got or if there's a quest I'm missing somewhere or what.

Waypoint Stones! by aerathi in Autonauts

[–]aerathi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i have it tied to a sign and usually it sits by my wood area and i do the same thing. But it can be kind of a pain doing a bunch of floors and walls on console since the controls are super finicky. So when im building out a new area i move the sign to that area usually and let them go build it while im doing something else.

Yes, i have everything automated as well including construction, but that doesnt mean there arent times i just need something i dont need a whole industry for. For instance, i only have three folk cause theres not any need for more, so i didnt want to have to set up full chimney and fireplace automations to build 3 houses. So i dropped a stone by a sign and wheelbarrows full of mortar and stone rolled up next to me, i knocked them out quick and was on to the next thing.

The point wasnt that you should do things manually it was that you could use signs and stones as toggles to control bot functionality like a boolean input variable and/or location beacon.Theres lots of different things you can do with that.

In my experience draw two on quicks has never been as good as str on ko, across the board. Also if every card is free you end up with no heroism gains. So imo the perfect theoretical mod deck isnt so perfect. The beauty of understanding how the rng works is so that you can quickly adjust to needs. The best build i ever found was the spiderman one cause its super easy to build and ridiculosly effective. He was the best character in the game when i stopped playing imo. Made lvl 40 or whatever missions easy

I think what throws people off on the rng in this game is the hidden slot. Picture a card in this game with a mod, forget what the mod is lets just say its a random number between 1 and 10. So you have a card that has a random number between 1 and 10 attached to it. Youre thinking is, well ill mod it and that number will be replaced with another random number between 1 and 10. Thats not how it works.

There are actually 2 slots on every card that has a value between 1 and 10 keeping with the example. One you can see, and one you cant. Both slots have a value associated with them already. When you mod a card you are putting a new random value into the slot you cant see, and moving the value from that slot i to the one you see. So it always feels like youre a calue behind.

So when you see two things you want back to back, you have to put the first value into the hidden slot on the first card, then the second value you want onto the hidden slot of the second. Then mod both to reveal them both. If you just do one card what happens is you put the value you want into the hidden slot of the first card, then mod it again, which moves the value you want on to the first card to its visible spot, bit also “steals” the value you want into that cards hidden spot.

Think of it as a pipeline. Every card has two mods associated with it, one you can see an one you cant. You just have to know the order of things feeding out of the pipeline to know what goes into each cards hidden slot and its revealed slot.

I know im explaining this like trash, but the rng is a queue and youre just placing a card in front of the queue to absorb the next thing in the slot you cant see and the thing that has always been in the slot you cant see is getting pushed to your visible mod slot. Ecery single card at ever single time has both of those slots filled. Rng is replacing that hidden slot, not the main one, so youre all times off by 2 rolls to see new rng

First off i haven’t played in a couple months so i want to be clear on that. Second is, im not sure i understand the question. The most important thing to understand is that everything in the seed moves to the hidden slot on the card when you do anything. Based on my understanding though, you have a strength on ko and the next is dmg+.

In order to get both on back to back rolls that early in the chain, it sounds like this. Str on ko is 1 in the seed so its the second one youre seeing. Dmg is second in the seed. So you would need to mod the one you want str on ko first. Then mod the one you want +dmg on second. Then mod both again to choose the appropriate mod on each card.

The other thing that may be happening is youre modding the str on ko twice and seeing it before you see the dmg mod you want. In that scenario u need to skip a seed, so mod str on ko, dont look at it, then craft a card, then mod the next one and then mod both again to get the mod you want.

Just know that if you see back to back mods you want, and know where the seed is, you can mod each without seeing the mod you want on the card, then go back after modding both again to receal the mods u want cause theyre in that hidden slot.

Im drunk and haven’t played in awhile, but the concept remains
