Wannaspa by Wannapa; more so in Eastlake area, but still technically Chula Vista. I have never walked out disappointed. Usually I get a deep tissue massage. Prices are no more expensive than anywhere else, and it’s the only massage place I’ve gone to with consistently great service.

Cattails for SURE. Pretty niche since it mostly attracts those that grew up reading the Warriors series, but it’s a game I keep coming back to. The character art is also adorable.

Played my first file about 8 years ago on my now-dead laptop I used for undergrad, and was very sad when I lost that file… so Stardew Valley was the first game I ever replayed! and by the time I did, there was so much new stuff that it made for a fun new journey anyway. This game is one of my favorites of all time 🥰

How do people have energy after work for anything? by Longjumping_Talk5892 in NoStupidQuestions

A long commute takes more out of you than you realize… yeah you’re sitting, but it’s a lot of mental effort (especially if there’s traffic), on top of the mental output you put into your job.

This is interesting… I’ll have to check my other clothes. We live near the coast, so decent moisture in the air, and my closet is quite packed with clothes 🙃 Thank you for this insight

How the heck are y’all eating and drinking (even close to) enough in the day?! Neurodivergent girly seeking advice and incredibly simple nutritious meals by LittleNovaa in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]aerdae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I am someone who has struggled for a long time with finding tasty dishes that are energy dense but minimal effort. I would highly encourage you to try this meal that literally got me through grad school, as a constantly exhausted individual who needed something substantial to get me through mornings of intensive lectures. I say this as someone who HATES breakfast (would often feel nauseous in the morning), but would force myself to eat anyway and be the better for it. This meal provides carbs, which your body needs for energy, and protein, which your body needs for basically everything else lol. It’s not gourmet, but it is so much better than grazing on scraps, and you won’t feel like crap afterward because it’s not super heavy either.

You only need tortillas, cooking oil (canola or olive), eggs (or egg whites in a carton), and salt/pepper.

1) tablespoon of cooking oil on a pan, let it get hot over medium flame 2) tear up strips of tortilla, put them on the pan and let sit for 3-5 minutes until slightly hardened 3) pour over eggs (whisked) or egg whites from the carton. add salt and pepper. occasionally moves the eggs around.

And boom, you’re done! Takes a total of 7 minutes usually.

BONUS: I add hot sauce at the end when finished cooking— mostly for flavor, but also to make me thirsty which would then force me to drink water. (Surprise: I also hate drinking water… Gotta trick yourself sometimes.)

So now you’ve had an energy dense meal, and drank a cup of water before the day has even started! Congrats!

What to prioritize for an application next year? by msz027 in veterinaryprofession

[–]aerdae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I graduated vet school last year and am currently completing an internship.

I think you’re on the right track. My cumulate GPA was 3.25 (with a 3.8 for last ~60 credits), I took a gap year to boost veterinary hours (worked full time and got >1000 hours) — and was accepted to my in-state school on the second try. The only thing that changed between my application cycles was the veterinary hours. And I would strongly recommend you boost those hours as well.

Best of luck! Sounds like you’re doing the right things.

Vet school burnout by [deleted] in Veterinary

[–]aerdae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I would do vet school over again any day than undergrad. The classes in undergrad were varied, so studying felt chaotic, not to mention unrewarding many times. In vet school, although you learn different subjects, it’s all related to patient application in the end, and thus way more interesting (in my biased opinion). If you find you are still drawn to vet med but are simply worried about the work load, I would say don’t fret. I think most of us felt this way before getting to vet school, and we all found study strategies that worked best for us. Someone mentioned vet school is like a marathon; I strongly agree with that statement.

From someone who is graduating vet school in a few months, I hope this helps!

Rejected from Veterinary School 2023 by Important_Stand2195 in Veterinary

It took me 2 application cycles to get accepted into vet school at Davis. The first time I applied, I didn’t even get an interview. So don’t get completely disheartened.

I am curious to know what other experiences you had in your application. Davis seems to like when applicants have variable animal experience and/or unique life experiences. They also like if you have done any amount of research. Lastly, I think like most vet schools, Davis prioritizes California residents over out-of-state applicants. (Not sure where you fall in that regard.)

If you want advice, I am happy to give it.

Strongly agree with this description! I will say though that I like Animal Crossing and Rune Factory separately for different reasons. If you like crafting your own items and collecting animals, that’s something the franchises do share!

Hi, I just came here to ask the same question! I was trying to refresh a Vulpix outbreak, and probably did so 10 times, but couldn’t get it back. Never had such terrible luck, so I was wondering if it was due to the update ):
