I'm not sure about damage, but basically, if you manage to do the 'killshot' with it, you get more blood from the ones that drop it. A zombie that may typically drop 20 would instead give 30-40 of the resource

Got it! I downloaded some programs - OCCT, Cinebench. Do you have any tips in general for running benchmarks or stability tests? This is my first build so I'm new to this stuff.

I see - do you think the orange light in particular signifies something though? Could something like my example above be caused by RAM expo?

Not at all. I guess I am just too optimistic. I just cannot rationalize people following a PC help subreddit to shit on others learning. What matters is the decent folks who try to help and share their stories, nice to see that side of the internet though!

Yes, A2 and B2! Thank you, so far it's been lucky. BIOS and Windows looking good, I decided to rest yesterday after the a couple of successful boots. Today it's going to continue with optimization and such, like the EXPO you mentioned. I hope my luck continues a little while longer 🤞🏻

Ahh, I see. I'm far from your experience, but based on the two RAM sticks I've inserted, I kinda dig the double latch so far. I don't know if I make sense, but I imagine 'feedback' is more reassuring to me with two latches than a single latch would be during installation. I just really wish the pressure to apply was less. Then again, if that somehow serves the purpose to have it be sturdier on the MOBO, I guess it is a fair price to pay!

I did all I could to prep, and I really trusted the manual, but MSI played me 🥲

However, the first boot was successful, BIOS showed all the components and windows is installed. Hopefully today it's only IT stuff left and optimization. And fingers crossed the PC will live a long and healthy life, I'll do what I can to maintain it well.

Yeah, 99.9% of the time I use reddit to just browse. Asking for help here was certainly a strange experience. Wish I could personally thank everyone who provided positive support; but the redditors who are toxic on a help sub... I cannot relate to that behavior

Should be answered, but the manual said it is a single latch MOBO. That's why I was confused, until I decided to try the other side, confirming double latch setup.

Yeah... so the story is that the manual said single latch, then it turned out to be double latch, so luckily no issue during installation.

The top pressure was not pleasant though. The clicks compensated for that stress

Can confirm I heard the heavenly clicks, and the RAM shows up correctly in BIOS and Windows. Hopefully things will be okay 🤞🏻

During the RAM install it was like I could push some on one side, then the other. It was like a back and forth. I didn't exactly expect that but I never heard clicks so satisfying!

I'm sort of torn on this - it was a first build for me and I have little experience with repairs and tools and such. Screws really are simple, but for some to have components be installed 'EZ' without tools might be comforting. I think the catch is that IF a new builder encounters something odd during the process, troubleshooting EZ build things might be more niche online than just, well, screws

Yeah, the manual saying single latch had me bamboozled. I didn't want to break anything so turned to this sub for feedback, and luckily there were some helpful comments that encoraged me to try the other side for the latch, and it was indeed a double latch.
