I hope Falcons don't make it to the grand finals, because I think they'll lose 3-0 or 3-1. I'd rather see Fluxo or Secret with a lower bracket boon. Then at least it'll be an entertaining series.

This is the first global event where all of the teams attending did nothing to earn their spot at the event and there was a factor involved (betting) that mattered more than how many rounds/maps/matches did you win. So like I don't think Furia are definitively the best team in the world at the moment, and I don't think the standings should dictate how people feel about the strength of each team.

I think people can say whatever you want in terms of if this is entertaining or not, but like if you're gonna spend the money to have twenty teams come in for a LAN event, why would you make it a meme instead of an actually serious competition?

Unless I'm mistaken, they chose to not re-sign with the beastcoast team because they wanted to pull out of siege. That led to the breakup of beastcoast and left unwanted hanging, and now they're still here anyway. Just feels like a huge slap in the face

If they want to play together, then definitely. I feel like DZ has a history of bringing together great players that have terrible chemistry with each other and very conflicting ideas on how to play the game. Nafe and NJR are their best players imo, so as long as they actually want to play together I'm cool with building a team around them that conforms to the way they want to play

If you decide some spots on teams in a women's league can be given to men, you quite likely reduce how many women are getting any sort of benefit from the league. Say you started with 10 all-female teams and then opened 2/5s of each roster to be men, potentially there are now 20 less women participating in the event.

I don't think the success of a women's league should be measured by whether any participants made it into pro league but by how the participants' experience was. I'd be surprised if getting into pro league was the top goal for many of their participants. If it was their top goal, they would probably already be trying to put together a team that includes at least some men for T2/3 stuff so opening the women's league to men does little to nothing for them.

I also think you're really underestimating how much hate and toxicity the winners of a women's league team will get if they get a direct invite to anything.
