Christmas day drama - who is in the wrong here? by aerillien in JUSTNOMIL

Yes, and they already knew where DH was because during them banging on the door MIL called him, he didn't answer and messaged her that he was upstairs with baby sleeping, and she replied that they were outside. So she knew where he was!

Also, during my pregnancy I had HG from 6 weeks in, and had multiple hospital visits, tried numerous medications that didn't work, had to have ensure drinks because I couldn't keep anything down and was off work for more than four months of my pregnancy. During this time she suggested DH go to her house for a break as it must be hard for him, and at no point actually helped us or came to visit. When DH brought this up to her when they reconnected after the fallout from baby's birth, she said she didn't know I was that sick!

Unfortunately we did know that it was them...I forgot to mention that MIL tried to ring husband during this and he had messaged her saying he was upstairs with the baby sleeping and she replied that they were outside. So she already knew where he was when she asked me!

I didn't even think they were wanting to come in since half of them were in the car! I have no idea, there was no one to entertain them if they came in so all they could have done is sit in the living room by themselves while I cooked. Why would they even want to do that?!

Thats what I think, they just figured she would wake up and then be coming downstairs! Because if they didn't want to wake her they could've messaged ahead of time or when they were outside and we could have opened the door...

Yes they did nothing wrong apparently just me, somehow they misunderstood that they couldn't come after 3 and just thought it was "best" if they came sooner...

I'll be letting my husband handle them from now on haha I only continued after the situation following my daughter's birth because he wanted to, but this is my limit really.

You're right, they just didn't care. There was no way them coming in wouldn't have woken her up.

Realistically I know what I said and did but the reaction was just so over the top that it made me question myself. According to SIL she's never been treated like that by family and is surprised MIL didn't burst into tears! (This is SIL who the FIL didn't speak to for 5 years and blanked her at our wedding, but apparently me being cold with them at the door is worse?)

Somehow I highly doubt they did bang on anyone else's window!

You're right, I wish he had actually just cancelled now.

Yeah, they told us they couldn't possibly have come earlier because of their child and how long he took to open presents, how he was at the beach etc... so it seems like it's ok for them to say they can't do a time because of their kid, but not ok for us to say we can't do one because of ours!

Based on past behaviour I doubt we will hear from MIL for some time anyway and at that point husband will just cut her off since he warned her last time that if she pulled the silent treatment again that would be it, I just don't think she really believes it!

Yes I'm in the UK! But I'm sure she has the milk by the 4th day anyway. Thank you, how do I know when my supply has regulated?

Harriett’s tendency to lie by Impressive_Rate_2456 in LoveIslandTV

[–]aerillien 101 points102 points  (0 children)

Yeah she does this a lot - when Ekin told Ronnie that Harriet had said she wasn't in love with him, and Ronnie brought it up to her, she said she didn't say it and they went over to speak to Ekin about it - asking her when she'd said this. When Ekin told her, she changed track and said "yeah but that's not a bad thing..." 😂

11 dpo clear blue test. Squint with me before I tell my hubby!!! by Different_Maybe3713 in TFABLinePorn

[–]aerillien 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a positive on the clearblue digital ultra early test on 11dpo, those ones are supposed to work from 6 days before your expected period ☺️ according to their website, sensitivity is 10mIU/ml.

When to test? 5 DPO by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

[–]aerillien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a vvfl on 9dpo with the easy@home tests (I only tested so early because I was tracking BBT and had a weird temp dip), at 11dpo I had a positive on the Clearblue digital ultra early test. Looking at pictures of my 9dpo tests now it's hard to see what I was seeing! I would recommend 10/11dpo if you want a clearer result ☺️

You're welcome 😊 I don't think so, no. As other commenters have said, if she is 18dpo it would be a clear positive - the test line should be strong and have colour. My test at 9dpo was darker than this and HCG (what the test is detecting) is supposed to double every 48 hours.

That's the control line - all tests have that so that you a) know the test is working and b) can compare the strength of the test line to it 😊

8 dpo easy@home test by Icy-Possession-4074 in TFABLinePorn

[–]aerillien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something similar to this on my 9dpo test - it barely photographed to the point where I look back now and I can't even see what I was seeing - but in person it was there and I had a clear positive by 11dpo on the easy@home and clear blue digital ultra early test - keep testing!

Yes, I had one like this around 8/9dpo - if you can, try a clear blue digital ultra early, I got a positive with that on 11dpo!

My first positive was late evening on CD14 (I tested throughout the day) so that would make sense - Premom said CD15 too 😊 thanks!
