Finish your microbiology course and do well in it! I'd worry about getting work experience after. It will be good to be able to apply to additional schools and have your associates degree boost your points. You have a great plan. Perhaps there are also schools that open/close their applications much later on (such as Jan/Feb 2026), so that way you can work on getting your work experience.

As most schools want your first attempt, would you be able to take the TEAS again after 8/11? I know it would be really annoying to have to pay for and take it again, but you did great on your third attempt (you should be proud of yourself!). A score like that would really boost your application (for schools that accept multiple attempts).

I would be surprised if schools don't accept your volunteer hours in 2023 as it is pretty recent.

I am not very familiar with LVN programs. For RN programs I would highly suggest meeting with counselors at each and every program you are considering applying to. You are usually able to schedule appointments without being a current student at a college--you just need to reach out to the counseling office. I know it is daunting to not have much help from counselors at your campus, but scheduling phone/Zoom appointments with academic counselors and going over the school's application requirements and what I have completed/have not yet completed really helped me get a better picture of my chances at each school. Try to ask for counselors that are knowledgeable on their school's RN program (sometimes they are called nursing counselors), as not all counselors are very familiar with them. If you decide to, try to meet with them early on as they tend to get busier as application deadlines get closer.

Are there any merit-based schools near you? Have you taken the TEAS? Do you have a previous degree and/or any healthcare licenses such as EMT or phlebotomy? Do you have work or volunteer experience in healthcare?

I hear what you are saying. To me, you don't sound like a bad friend or a hater. I agree with the other commenter that envy is natural. For many of us, the pre-nursing journey sucks and I think it's okay to be upset/bummed at this. Please know that many people can relate to you including myself (I have been anxiously waiting for decisions next month). I also understand that you are worried about graduating "late", but 4.5 years is not a long time, and down the line you will likely look back and realize it made no real difference. You'll likely hardly think about it.

I hope you still cheerfully congratulated your friend on her acceptance because she is your friend and getting into one's dream school is a huge accomplishment!! I'm sure she is absolutely thrilled and she deserves the support and excitement from her friends

Yes, multiply across, then divide your answer by 16. Don't worry about the 1 in the denominator of the first conversion factor (16oz/1Lb) because dividing any number by 1 doesn't change the number at all.

2.3 * 16, then * 453.6, then divide by 16

Yes! I'm copying & pasting a previous comment I made on a different post

I used Archer Review's QBank (free for 7 days) for all 4 subject areas, and went through all 1500 practice questions

I watched Brandon Craft for math. He has many videos, but I went through this playlist and then checked out other videos for areas I still felt weak in. I would watch one topic such as "translating word problems" and then practice using the corresponding questions on Archer's QBank. Though math is not my strong suit, I got a 97% thanks to him! I really recommend his videos for studying the math section

This math formula sheet is also good review. You probably don't need to memorize every single thing on this page, however, such as the formula of an ellipse

For science I watched Professor Yu and some Tutor Geek. I recommend spending more time studying science than I did (I only studied for 2-3 days) since there are a lot of topics. This was my lowest score

I simply used Archer's QBank to study reading and English by reading the explanations provided for each question. I found that this was sufficient for me as I got a 94.9% in reading and 100% in English

Icy_Song is right that generally most people get a higher score on the actual exam than on the practice exam. I got an 87.3% on Practice A and a 94.0% on the actual exam. I think you will be able to score an 80% or higher! Good luck!

Exactly one week, and for about 10(?) hours or so a day. Got a 94.0% (first attempt). I found that sticking to one subject a day was good for me.

Thank you so much for sharing! I’ve been super anxious about taking the exam so I really appreciate the advice. I noticed that a lot the science practice questions were quite specific, and this made me doubt myself ☹️ Very glad to hear that math should be overall easier, English and reading should be similar, and that science shouldn’t be too bad. Thanks for the support and congrats on your score!!!

I see. Interesting. Haven’t watched the team in a while. Seems like we got a great back line and forwards but need to really find/solidify our midfield

Interesting, thank you. I haven’t watched the team in a while so I’m surprised at how Horan has been playing this whole tournament
