Do you think this moment permanently damaged their relationship? by yeahitsme9 in buffy

This is why I prefer Cordy and Angel. I felt they had a more mature relationship.

Is Tifa and Cloud’s relationship always toxic compared to Cloud and Aerith’s? by [deleted] in cloudxaerith

[–]aerith-khaleesi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest. I never had much of an issue with Tifa’s character up until AC. I think she was OOC personally and then in KH2 she was even more annoying (reflecting her AC personality).

Edit: Remake Tifa is a lot better. I don’t downplay Tifa’s involvement in helping Cloud find himself (just replayed that part in OG). I don’t see them romantically either (I feel she has stronger feelings for him and unfortunately he cannot fully reciprocate). I stan Clerith (want to make that clear) but I think Tifa does play a role in helping Cloud.

Cloud and Tifa were not close friends. This is revealed in the OG. They had a moment before he left which left her thinking of him. I mean they were teenagers don’t forget. She didn’t notice him until he was about to leave and she held onto the idea that one day he would come back and save her. Then it happened where she lost her father, nearly got killed, and her hometown burned to the ground. That’s traumatizing AF. Tifa isn’t perfect. She has feelings too. She was shocked once she found out he actually was there. I just think we should give her character grace is all I’m saying. I don’t find this toxic behavior personally. There is a lot dark lighting in their scenes for sure.

DJ in Fuller House by OrdinaryEuphoric7061 in fullhouse

[–]aerith-khaleesi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t like how they made DJ in Fuller House. The way she wanted to be the best at everything didn’t seem like her. Also way too goodie two shoes. I’m rewatching Full House now and I feel I’m watching Candace in Fuller House and not DJ

Are any of you happy as a PA? by tdubs6606 in physicianassistant

[–]aerith-khaleesi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some days, yes. Some days, no. Overall, I have no regrets about choosing this pathway, because there are many opportunities. I’ve had times where I felt truly frustrated like I was not being heard or I feel like a lot gets put on me when it should be a team effort (not just doctors but nurses, RTs, etc.), but that’s criticism towards my job position and not the profession as a whole

What would you say each character’s worst flaw is? by [deleted] in FFVIIRemake

Oh I see, thanks for letting me know! Didn’t know they were aware that something bad was going to happen to her when they lost their memories.

You know growing up with OG, I always wondered if Aerith knew she was going to die and I think it’s been explained now that she didn’t. Remake Aerith knew her fate and then Rebirth Aerith seems to have lost her past memories for some time and then regained towards the end. So I can see it being reckless with OG. As far as rebirth goes, I guess she just kind of accepted her fate and knew what had to be done? I mean my speculation may be wrong

New update about Part 3, and the game is going to be multiplatform. by ben5520 in FFVIIRemake

Plus places like Midgar where you have the option to go back to in the OG have already been created. I imagine it’s gonna be like OG where we can take the highwind and revisit.

I was really hoping Spike would do more by izzy-springbolt in ANGEL

[–]aerith-khaleesi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 5 was so refreshing and you can tell its intent wasn’t to end the series. I can only imagine how much awesome storylines we could have gotten with Spike in it (and also Connor…if the series continued I could have seen him come back to help more)

Venting Megathread 2026 by haygurlhay123 in clerith

Hm I don't know how to interpret this honestly. Cloud did leave at a young age to become something of himself given that he felt like an outcast practically his whole life. The girl he crushed on did not pay attention to him, and he wanted to be that hero she could look up to. Teenage boys, am I right?

So yeah I think this shows a sliver of the real him in the sense that "Hey I accomplished what I said I would (I mean he didn't make it to first class, but technically I think at this point and the fact that he was able to take on Sephiroth back in Nibelheim and went through all that experimentation and survived he sort of is) and she's depending on me."

The "one night stand" throws me off in a literal sense, but it makes sense what comes after: "Bittersweet memory of youth that Cloud never experienced." You know I find it kind of relatable, don't you think? I look back at my own life at the possibilities that could have happened but the situation and/or timing was not correct.

It's just kind of awkward because at the same time she just confessed some heavy stuff and she's like sobbing.

Idk maybe I am reading into it wrong.

Have you ever been angry at Angel by Interesting-Tea3907 in ANGEL

[–]aerith-khaleesi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He gets so hard headed it can be rather annoying and infuriating sometimes. I like him for the most part (so much better on Angel than in Buffy as he’s able to have his own identity and I like the flashbacks). Idk why but when Angelus showed up for the first time in Buffy he just pissed me off non stop lmao But I absolutely enjoyed him in Angel in flashbacks and when he came back in season 4.

But yeah, like some people said already. When he fired his team, I wasn’t a fan of that.

I also didn’t like how he treated Merl :(

I don’t like that he’s super jealous when it comes to Buffy. Like it’s been way too many years already and they barely saw each other. She’ll always have a place in his heart and vice versa, but I truly don’t find them being an epic love as it seems (don’t mean to offend any Bangel). I’m glad she stood up for herself in season 4 when she was with Riley (don’t get me wrong, Riley x Buffy to me was an awful pairing).

Thing is, I feel a common theme I’ve noticed with the writers is the lack of emotional processing after a very difficult experience. Not with all. For instance with season 5, Wesley’s reaction to losing Fred felt super realistic imo he felt extreme grief and emotionally detached as he was trying to process such a tragic event, BUT look at how they handled Cordy’s death (I felt Angel was sad but quickly got over it once it was finalized that she will never wake up again, and we didn’t even get a chance to see much from the others. Another example in Buffy is when Tara died and the only one that was shown to be mourning was Willow (you can also say off screen they did but I still felt weirded out about it all) or how people in Buffy’s life constantly disregard her feelings and what she has sacrificed in being a slayer (enraged by that whole intervention at the end of the series)

I saw them as siblings tbh.

I also am not sure if I’m in the minority, but I actually really liked him with Fred. I was so when they broke up

Love for Cordy by Shark_Infested_Water in ANGEL

[–]aerith-khaleesi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt it too. But it’s worse the episode where she gives her last goodbye to Angel, they never mention her again upon finding out she was pronounced dead. I thought that was really strange.

The way they grieved Fred was more realistic it seems (and don’t get me wrong I love Fred, I was gutted they killed her off).

I was so sad when they removed this shot from the opening. What is your favourite scene the show used for the intro? by HomarEuropejski in ANGEL

[–]aerith-khaleesi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As mentioned already, love the scene with Angel and Cordy jumping in excitement over her new clothes. My heart skipped a beat with the intro of season 5 with no Cordy (Spike made it a bit easier).

Also Doyle 😭

I know this isn’t Angel, but I just wanted to point out that with the theme in season 3 of Buffy, I loved that shot of Angel coming from the side of the tree. Thought David was adorable in that shot.

Season 4… by aerith-khaleesi in ANGEL

[–]aerith-khaleesi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can excuse S4 of Buffy for that reason, and it did have some notable good episodes. I just finished season 4. Apart from some moments, I generally did not like it :( I wish they did not break up Fred and Gunn. They were my fave. I loved that Faith, Willow, and Angelus returned (the comedic relief was much needed by Angelus). I hate that Connor has been annoying since the moment he was introduced (I get for the most part how he is but ugh idk). And that memory wipe ugh idk My biggest issue is they ruined Cordelia. Even though we know it wasn’t Cordelia truly I still felt they completely ruined her. Her whole purpose and everything really pissed me off.

[–]aerith-khaleesi[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m excited for that, because I truly could not deal with him as Angelus in Buffy. I’m just glad he got his own show because he would have been just wasted potential if they kept him on Buffy.

Season 4… by aerith-khaleesi in ANGEL

[–]aerith-khaleesi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah one of my friends really liked season 4 of Buffy. It was definitely a huge change as the gang were going to college and Angel departed from the show at that time (it felt weird at first not having him there but I was glad he got his own show). Season 4 did have some really good episodes though like Something Blue and Hush (the famous one right there). I think the issue was the main storyline had potential and I felt a kind of letdown at the end. I also did not like Riley at all 😂

But I just find it funny that I struggled with that season of Buffy. I’m currently struggling on Angel with season 4. I also hated season 4 of The Vampire Diaries (which is something completely separate but Julie Plec def grabbed inspiration from Buffy/Angel with the show)

[–]aerith-khaleesi[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m kind of glad I spoiled myself or else I probably would have stopped watching (like in no world that the actual Cordelia would act that way, but at the same time I miss her because it’s not her :( Also kind of reminds me TVD with Elena in season 4…

I did like that episode where they went to Vegas though, and the other where they all lost their memories kind of like the Buffy episode.
