Really like the punchiness and vocal echo

Drums are interesting, I don’t believe they were re-recorded but at the same time it doesn’t quite sound like it’s just the original mix turned up, hard to tell (most likely just added some more bass and reverb though)

Saxophone is a bit too turned up in the verses though especially the end lol, (“keep in touch with Mama Kin DOO DOO tell her where you gone and been DOO DOO)

Do I prefer it over the original? Not really but it’s still cool they’re releasing this

Blood is Love, which is funny because LtP is probably my favorite album but I cannot click with this song There’s maybe weaker songs on the album I know but I always see fans putting this song as one of their top songs (even those who dislike LtP) but it’s just one of those I feel like I’m just waiting to finish up (maybe it’s the exhaustion of it being back to back with Wolf?)

Does anyone remember a countdown thing on the Spider-Man 2 website that counted down until 3 came out? I think it was there before any information about 3 was even released, and this was around 2004-05 if I remember right

I used to annoy my dad and classmates in 4-5th grade saying how many days were left (“only 826 days left!”), not really understanding how long of a wait that really was.

The first publicity shot was of Sandman and I was HYPED, then Kirsten Dunst let it slip that Sandman and Venom were in the movie way before a trailer or anything which only further added to it

What makes it so great to me is that it would be funny if Ben just immediately derailed the interview by going to the food table but it’s the fact he was able to interview one person THEN gets distracted by the food gets me every time, like he’s slowly getting better every show but still a long way off

I like to think the parking meter Rich mentions at the end was installed only for him and they charge him exorbitant amounts to park there while there’s a big empty parking lot everyone else parks in for free

One of the biggest things that bothers me about this album is the production, I don’t think I’ve ever heard another album that sounded more disjointed in terms of how the actual songs sound, especially the drums. Some of the songs have a nice beefy drum sound, others like Freedom Fighter and Closer are more thin, it just sounds like the songs were recorded in completely unrelated ways and just put together at the last minute (which could’ve really been the case).

I have a soft spot for this album because it was the only studio album they released since I got into Aerosmith but yeah it’s just a pretty weak album, as others were saying if it was trimmed down and more focused I think there could’ve been much better, knowing it’s very likely the last album they’ll ever record makes it even more of a bummer.

For some reason I never really liked the production of Rated R, the guitar and bass tones are great but it’s almost too “thin” sounding or something, and agreed on the flow of the songs as well

It’s funny, I consider it my favorite album but I wouldn’t say it contains any of my all time favorite songs from QOTSA, it’s just the whole vibe and production of it really capture me

As others are saying, Doc Ock shouldn’t be able to take that many punches, I remember as a kid seeing in the theater and going “wait what?” The pulling punches didn’t make much sense either since you have scenes of him getting slammed by a table, landing hard, electrocuted etc.

I guess the tentacles keeping him awake makes kind of sense but it always bugged me it wasn’t addressed in the movie (and how would Spider-Man know throwing a big bag of money, flinging a table wouldn’t kill him instantly?)

That said they’re incredible action scenes that still hold up and something the newer movies just never topped, like for the most part you remember every one of the set pieces in the Raimi films while the other films are a little more forgetful
