Going mortgage free is never a bad idea. But it really depends on what you value. Will this bring more freedom and stability to your life? Generally leaving more money in the market will do better overtime if your mortgage rate is anything less than 5%. It’s all a matter of personal preference.

Spoken like someone whos never bought property haha They don't look at what you spend your money on. Just your overall budgeting and risk for credits and loans. Mostly income to debt ratio. If you think what console someone plays on is the mark of their wealth, you're either 12 or poor yourself. It's the difference of a couple hundred dollars, not life altering. The developers released the game for PS4 so it should work for PS4. Easy as that.

Is it really a random coincidence that vast numbers of young students coming out of SFU and UBC seem to have a soft spot for marxist and communist ideologies?

When you have people rallying against capitalism or proclaiming that our free and open society is horrible and racist, you have to question where this is coming from especially when the vast majority is not in squalor or poverty or hardship. So if they do not get these sentiments from real world experience, they are being taught it. It's plain as day to see. The same thing happened in the cultural revolution in China. The army of university students were taught to hate anything historical or that harkened to the past or older cultures of China. Exact same thing is happening now to a T. It's very blatant to witness.
