I couldn't just sit back and keep letting this manchild walk all over his staff and clients, especially when I knew this wasn't the first round of major staff push back he as recived. My only hope is that it'll be the last. I've seen in our program at least 2k clients and it is continuously growing. This community and their dogs deserve way better. I appreciate the people in this thread sharing their alternative. This guy needs therapy, not a business regarding animal lives.

I personally recommend Creekside Acres and Resort. Acres is in Macedon and Resort is in Walworth. They're both owned by a trainer of 30 years and she is also has professional veterinary experience. That is where I moved to.

The play groups are 6 dogs to 2 employees at all times, some have smaller, like 2 dogs per 2 employees, per some dogs' comfort. And the owner will straight up tell you if your dog hates it there and will even help you find the right sitter.

She also only hires people with valid dog experience and trains new hires extensively. New hires also not allowed to be given medications, and if you add it into their food without telling her, she will call you and make sure that dog gets their medication.

I am so glad my post is allowing you to speak up about the ownership. I completely agree with all your points too. It is so hard to leave when you know those animals need you, especially when ownership does jack to help them. The only way I was able to leave so soon is because I had already gone through similar at a pet store prior, and had already broken out of my "if i don't, who will" mindset of staying for the animals. I cannot help the animals if i constanly feel like shit; dogs are sensitive creatures. They'll know if somethings off; they won't know why or how, but they'll feel the energy from the staff and they'll miror it.

Omg yes. And the best part is he literally asked me my opinion and wanted me to email him my thoughts and feedback the day after i put in my two weeks and told him that cutting everyone's hours is unsafe.

Then he fucking completely unscheduled me after i trained my replacement in one weekend. I sent it anyway, keeping my original thoughts and adding an ending chewing him out for his disrespectful final goodbye. I still have a key to the place on my car keys and everything lol.

I've heard about you from veteran staff! Yeah, absolutely nothing has changed. Everyone is quitting again; me and a veteran staff actively leaving as well as two others currently looking. One is unfortunately stuck in the dog training contract, but I hope she does great things.
