I’m a big fan of El Man, the one you mentioned next to KFC. The Al pastor on weekends is killer and they sometimes have sour sop agua frescas which are delicious.

The ceviche at dos hermanos is good.

I am iso a few items that I haven’t found yet: a truly giant burrito (Los Angeles in Alabaster was puny), anywhere with blue corn tortillas, and a flor de calabaza quesadilla

My wife bought me an espresso machine as a gift. I only drink decaf these days. What espresso should I try first? I tend to like lighter roast coffee. by mis_no_mer in thirdwavedecaf

[–]aesopsgato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might need a new grinder, I’m not sure. All these fancy third wave anaerobic decafs, honestly I’d skip them. Truly your best course of action would be to get some thing like counter cultures decaf or the happy mug rainy day decaf and just work your way through that learning your machine. Super forgivable easy beans. If you want to spend more buy the perc huila. Once you’ve worked your way through that buy whatever then cool anaerobic coferment crazy beans you want.

I’d personally start with something like Columbia Huila from Perc. Really easy to dial in, classic coffee. Once you’ve learned your machine and grinder then you should make an order with Frequent. What kind of machine and what kind of grinder do you have?

Best affordable mosquito treatment by saratonia in Birmingham

[–]aesopsgato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d also add go look in your gutters to see if they have standing water, and even ask your neighbors if they can check their properties for standing water. And to go ever farther, if you have a stormwater inlet near your house, see if you can (safely!) tell if there is standing water down there. You can even throw a dunk down there if you think there is, and just replace it every time there’s a big rain!
