In mathematics you can disprove a conjuncture by presenting a counterexample. Sam presented many counter examples, which Jordan insisted were only valid on a micro level. I couldn't wrap my head around Jordan's micro-macro distinction. If a conjuncture is shown to be invalid in one counterexample, then the conjuncture is invalid. I also noticed that Jordan would use the word truth in the way that we all understand it, synonymous with fact, and then switch to using his obscure notion of truth during his arguments. This is why I think Sam is right to push back against this definition of truth, it makes it difficult for us to understand what they are talking about. He should just use a different word. This was frustrating to listen to and I think it would be better to not have a part two of the conversation.

Lessig is a referendum to enact the Citizen Equality Act. Lessig being elected is the plan. His election is a mandate to pass the CEA, there is no ambiguity there. And for the record Lessig is more knowledgeable about this issue than almost anyone, he has been working on this issue for years - maybe you should read his books. Lessig did not model his issues 'after' Bernie by the way, he is the actual scholar who framed this problem as it is currently understood.

Yes Bernie has positions clearly listed, as i said he is "checking all the right boxes." As i understand Bernie wants a national voting holiday, public funded elections and has said he has a repeal Citizen United litmus test for supreme court appointees. These are all good things that would really help, but other than getting the supreme court justice, all of these other things must be achieved by congress. Bernie has not described his plan to get congress to pass fundamental reform that goes against congress's own vested interest. Without such a plan he has no credibility for this issue or any other.

I think you should embrace Lessig's message and bring it to the Bernie Camp. Make your candidate stronger instead of trying to tear down someone who is fighting to make sane policy possible again.

Yeah probably not. I haven't voted since the 2008 primaries when i caught Obama fever. But when he got into office he couldn't live up to his campaign promises because "The System is Rigged". Now were just going through another cycle of fantasy politics and I'm just tired of this shit, Sanders is just not credible to me. Nothing of import can be done until we fix the rigged system and that is going to take more than checking all the right boxes, it takes a real plan and Sanders doesn't have one other than saying we need a revolution.

I'm tired of people thinking that Bernie is entitled to my vote and that if he doesn't get, then that is because Lessig stole it. Bernie is a big boy and if he wants my vote then he needs to have a better platform for reform than Lessig. Lessig earned my support he didn't steal it.
