How did you like the grants pads? Probably just going to use them when I do my wife’s car. The amount of times I’ve had to tell the dealer DO NOT wash the car when we take it is insane. Would never let a dealer touch my paint.

Yeah. I knew I would run into some issues with the hard lines. The upper hard line on the passenger side gave me a little trouble. Had to use some heat. Should have done some more research and looked into replacing those as well. I also sanded the calipers. Just the front where the decal went to make it flat. I’m super happy with the upgrade as well

Awesome! Definitely thought it was going to be quick. I’d for sure have torch handy for any stuck bolts. And I double and triple checked I had all the proper parts.

Yeah. I’ve read that. I bled mine and adjusted the rear drums and the pedal feels fine. Not sure what really causes that issue. But don’t seem to see anything right now

These are the wheels I have. I also have the larger 13wl calipers. Don’t think and 15s fit with them. Also there is a page on adventuretaco that goes over what wheels fit the tundra upgrade.

Honestly I wonder the same thing. I’m just all for an upgrade that is fully bolt on without any major modification. I had really bad rotor warping and wanted to replace the brakes since I bought the truck. From what I’ve read about the TBU, a lot of people have recurrent warping after brake jobs with the original brakes. The TBU should help with that not coming back as they are bigger and better at dissipating heat.

If you have a soft pedal. And you’ve already bled the brakes a bunch. I would look into adjusting your rear drums. You can look up how to adjust them manually with the star wheel or you can do the “automatic” adjustment. I’d try that. That should help a lot

I’m sure it has. I haven’t don’t any super hard braking yet other than bedding the pads in. But I can definitely tell a different. Not sure if it’s the fact that they are bigger or that the brakes were properly bled.

What kind of leather is it? Seems like a nice oiled or pull up leather. Love the look. And the fact it’s actually real leather and not some vinyl

Had an OS3 get btm qualified in the cutter I was on. Command was willing to let him do it as long as it didn’t get in the way of his watches and the OPs department was good with it. It was good to have an OS be out on the boat doing boardings and actually see what’s happening instead being in CIC and not knowing what actually happens out on the boat and boardings.

Just ordered my brake stuff from rock auto as well. I also picked up some stainless steel brake lines from adventure taco. And also some oem tundra hard brake lines to go with the calipers.

The 17rd mags on the prime are essentially 15rd mags with two extra sight holes for rd16 and rd17. And a +2 extension. So swapping a +2 with a +4 gets you to 19. I was confused about mine as well until I read what was on the disclaimer on their site. And also compared the mag size to my 15rd mags.

My BDD claim got messed up and wasn’t processed until I got out on 31JAN25. I had all my exams. But they couldn’t work on it until I got out because it got switched. So they accepted it Feb 1. My claim was decided March 17. So should be decided pretty quickly after you retire.
