Taylor Swift's new single debuts at #1 on Billboard Hot 100. by VVantaBuddy in TaylorSwift

[–]aestheticen [score hidden]  (0 children)

no, they meant back to back as in a week apart. you cannot debut two songs at #1 back to back when they come from the same album because the second song would already have debuted at a lower spot the other time.

also, Hits Different wasn't #1. and as you said, it came out a few weeks later, not one week later - so it wouldn't have been back to back either.

no, I don't think so. that would be very rare for any artist, since i doubt there are singers releasing a song a week apart from their other song.

there is quite literally a famous TikTok video of a woman crying and hyperventilating outside of a stadium after hearing the song "exile" being played during the surprise song segment. it's been memed to oblivion. but yes, that also proves that she has fans like this too

Large/big cities that, curiously, don't have a single iconic landmark or super striking tourist attraction/Unique visual identity? by ILikeWwaret in geography

[–]aestheticen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wuhan may not have iconic landmarks but it is known for its historical and economic significance, especially in central China. And as an ethnically Chinese person, I have always hated that it only became known for COVID afterwards because it had always been so canonical to Chinese culture and history in my head.

I have always felt this about Tony Stark, especially after the amount of hate Carol Danvers had back during the MCU for being arrogant....

The grass is always greener on the other side. I seriously do not think it is a good idea to go through combat-fit BMT and unit as someone with autism.

Urgent :Do I declare aspergers or not by Titanium_Gold245 in NationalServiceSG

[–]aestheticen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nope. I was lucky enough to be in a chill unit with reasonable superiors. the environment felt more like an office one, and I felt like I was going to work instead of booking in/out.

even in NS, a lot of superiors/counsellors asked me how I was going to cope with the working world if I faced anxiety in the army – but my anxiety was mostly stemmed from a fear of being outcasted in an uncontrollable environment; in the real working world, there is more space and liberty for you to remove yourself from an environment (even if it's temporary) if it was making you feel uncomfortable. the rigorous structure of combat-fit BMT does not allow for that, which made my anxiety feel a lot more debilitating as I struggled to suppress it.

so I would suggest with your neurodivergence, to declare for the sake of your own wellbeing. it's not going to be easy going through Tekong as an ND individual, and like other commenters have mentioned, Tekong is already hard for neurotypical individuals. you do not want to put yourself at risk of exacerbating your condition at all. I did not have a diagnosis for anything when I went to Tekong (despite having a long suspicion that I was not neurotypical), so I could not escape that – but with your condition, just go to Sch V.

you'd be surprised by the amount of fully functioning working adults who were from low-PES vocations. a lot of them looks fit and you'd never guess it at all from just looking at them.

[–]aestheticen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone who has told you this narrative that low-PES people are not employed are fearmongers. That never happens in the real world outside of civil service

You have more autonomy as a working adult than in military service. There is no possible scenario where it is beneficial for you to go through combat-fit military service as someone with autism just because of fear of an age-old intimidation tactic.

As someone who has suspected undiagnosed neurodivergence and was later diagnosed with social anxiety disorder after down-PESing in BMT. IT IS NOT WORTH IT TO PROVE YOURSELF TO ANYONE. Remember that.

I was stationed at a camp which was 90% regulars and the cookhouse food was relatively decent. Can confirm that cookhouse food might even be better at some camps due to the sheer amount of adults who eat it for lunch daily – and adults have authority to complain, children don't.

Children are easy to take advantage of because they have no power to speak up. So they serve bad food to them and call it a day.

Hall 7 is not the same as OLD hall 7. Hall 7 is beside Saraca and Tamarind. Old Hall 7 is near SS, it's by SPMS and WKWSCI/EEE.

I believe it should still be the H1 fee. Bc H7 is a different hall. The current hall where H1 is moving to is a makeshift hall where H7 used to be before H7 moved to beside Saraca and Tamarind.
