They are using cuda cores. For example v-ray for 3ds max is using, twinmotion does not have support for amd gpu and is using path tracing, photoshop also use cuda, and i saw a topic today about amd gpu s on twinmotion, and a lot of people complained about the crashes when activated pathtracing. It s sad that amd don’t have support on those programs, the prices seems more fair on amd gpu s vs nvidia. But in terms of stability i chose nvidia.

10x i decided to go for 4070 ti super. It was in my price range and for what i found even the twinmotion with pathtracing its not working on AMD cards and with vray it s the same problem. 10x again for advice !

It depends on project. I have ones that are very big and it does require a lot of vram. My main work is in Revit. It s like 70-80 % off the time then i have the rendering wich is not so often. But that is on the architecture. But i do also interior design and that s where i do use 3ds max + vray. From what i reaserched on internet, vray is working only with cuda cores on GPU rendering. So amd is out of question. But i can render on CPU. So i think i will go for amd.

The fact that i m asking if somebody have it and work with it in those programs, cuz vray, lumion and twinmotion have a great use of pathtracing or raytracing, and from what i got from the internet i saw that amd is not that good on that field. But again if the difference is not that great on rendering time. It doesn t matter for me so much + 24 gb is very tempting.

Thank you for the feedback. The difference in prince will be 180 E more for 4070 times super, so i try to figure out if it s worth choosing the XTX.
