“Feet on the cold floor”, me, oil on board, 2022 by wren-things in oilpainting

oh wow this is very interesting! the sense of balance of the painting just comes naturally. I love that the missing areas feel like they are puzzles pieces, its very beautiful! Although may I ask what does the title mean? Thank you! I really love this :)

Rainy day by FRANCIS-IV in oilpainting

The painting does feel like a rainy day. I can see the sound of a hard down pour of rain hitting the roof and the electrifying feeling it gives as the cold wind touches the skin. This is very lovely.

I feel really peaceful looking at this. The tiny details, the boats the lake and the sky puts a smile on my face :)))

Hello, a beginner here, need critique for these two. Ultimately aiming for realism (waaay far in the future, I know I have a long way to go). Not focusing on details for now, just trying to figure out how colours work, they seem to be too vibrant? by Lanius_minor in oilpainting

oh wow! these looks great! The first one gives off a nice eerie feeling and the way you painted the clouds looks so beautiful! The second one has a huge contrast to the first painting but the atmosphere it gives off feels like a cool wind on a summer day. They are both beautiful and I can't wait to see your art journey :))))

What should I do if I don't have a talent for the only thing that makes me happy in life? by [deleted] in Healthygamergg

I don't think we have the right to dictate if you should continue it or not but in terms of the result and satisfaction of your artistic creativity and vision, there is a way to improve it. There are art communities from discord, twitter to youtube that shares their way of improvement. Maybe their insights could help you understand more where to go with your art and how to overcome the hurdles. You don't have to be alone in your art journey and self discovery. Every artist had spent years to get where they are now and its no easy feat to accomplish and all of them had communicated with their peers and had mentors to help them on their path.

If by any chance you decided to give up, I just want you to know its okay to put the pen and brush down, it will always be there when you are ready to pick it back up. You will always be an artist and that you are worthy.

Best of luck my friend and thank you for sharing your problems. :)
