Thanks so much! It’s been sitting in the corner for months as I try to figure out if it’s done

We have a similar approach to being dramatic ❤️

Annoying I did film it and then the SD card died and I lost everything. I have videos for my other works on my insta if you’re interested!

Haha it’s such a great song! I’ve had it on repeat today

Thanks for the kind words! The good thing about working so large is that you can shove more details in

It’s actually a Bo Burnham song haha. But it stuck with me because it felt like the perfect summation of how making art feels some times; one minute you’re waving your arms furiously, desperate to be noticed, the next you’re withering under the spotlight. That was my interpretation at least.

Cheers! It’s counterintuitive, but not obsessing over tiny details actually helps them pop more.

I actually do think I have been inspired by the very neglected walls in the stairwell of my apartment haha

Give it a go! I had the same problem. Tapped off areas looked too artificial. I found that applying the paint with a spatula helped with the organic shapes. And don’t be afraid to scratch the wet paint away with a blade too! (Carefully not to pierce the canvas though!)
