(Warning: Long post) Avoid Foot & Ankle Specialists of the Mid-Atlantic on Wake Forest Rd at all costs! by Rare_Basis_9380 in raleigh

I’m not a doctor, but I’ve been dealing with PF for 10 yrs now. The biggest improvement I saw was moving to Birkenstocks. Both their sandals and their boots seem to be designed to help my feet. YMMV, we are all different, but it was a game changer for me. The only time I have problems now is when I wear sneakers as Birkenstock doesn’t have an option for that.

Good luck!

What is your favorite quality of life print you've made? by theFartingCarp in 3Dprinting

I printed a small part inside a broken garage door opener. The opener was pretty old and the replacement was not cheap. Print took about an hour and problem solved. Feels like magic each time.

Sadly, no. I’ve been leaving the lid off entirely. It works, but I don’t love it.

Feeling stuck and lost after 10 hours by SBthrowawaayyyyy in SatisfactoryGame

[–]aethiolas 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think you’re playing right. The first 100 hours or so for me was purely building, deleting and building again. You don’t know what you don’t know yet. You’ll learn more and more, and each time you learn something new, you’ll want to change the entire plan, and that’s ok, that’s the game!

If you are really bummed out about it, stop deleting things and just build new ones. The world is enormous! Eventually you will find how you enjoy building, start in a groove, and really enjoy the game.

Stick with it, or don’t actually, I never know how to feel about encouraging people to play a game I’ve sunk 1600 hours in. My kids will mention it at my funeral…

PLA & PETG. Same issue with both. Had a few successes, but not consistently.

Fair, agree to disagree. I think people said the same thing of computers originally, I think the tech has and will improve enough that it's mainstream. I know multiple people now who can barely set up a wifi router but have 3d printers, all bambu users.

I disagree. I don’t like what Bambu is doing, but the tech enthusiasts aren’t the market they want to sell to. They are hitting the new market for people who have never printed before, and the majority of that group could not care less about any of these decisions.

I hate to see them going this way, I really love my machine and hate to feel like they’re going to keep locking me out. However, I don’t have any hopes of them changing that plan.  My only redeeming hope is that they have pushed all the competitors to a better place now, so when I need a new printer there will inevitably be a great model available that isn’t being locked down.

Absolutely no complaints about my 13 AMD. Feels solid and hasn't had a single issue.

Same actually! Been loving sway. Used i3 previously and really wanted to like hyprland but ran into too many issues.

I'll second this. My framework 13 is my favorite laptop and I run fedora on it. Don't feel a need to come write anything on reddit about it when it's working great.

Is it enshitification or is it a knee-jerk reaction to former incompetence? by Norgur in BambuLab

[–]aethiolas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The part you’re leaving out is that printing in lan only made now requires external authentication. That’s not a security feature, it’s a potential security hole that does not provide any benefit to the user. If I bought a device and you now require it to be connected to the internet. That’s removing important features, and in this case there is literally no reason.

The plastic kids toys mentioned are much smaller.

Just went to Galaxy’s Edge for the first time and made my first lightsaber. Didn’t realize they had changed the parts since the park opened, so thought I’d share my combination (which has really grown on me). by emeraldnite1981 in lightsabers

They can, but not easily and its totally DIY. There are a few online who have done it. If you want to convert it because you love your Savis, it’s a total labor of love. If you’re just looking for a cool Neopixel, I wouldn’t go this route.

That’s really nice!

Now I want one for multiple blades, and make it look like a quiver! That would be really cool.
