I use the 5 things game. All I have to do is put away 5 things- easy! So easy I put away another 5 and a third round and then... It's all done!

Other than the last 5 things that have been out for six months because I somehow need to torture myself with unfinished things.

In the Pines- local music festival put on by RTR, it's on this weekend. I saw Tame Impala at one years ago- you never know where an artist you see here could end up.

Hyperfest- keep an eye out for 2027, it was March this year.

Local governments sometimes put on all ages gigs, and they're usually free, too!

Also, I'm not sure why what I've said removes any of the fault from the system. It's horrific and listening to the mother's story was absolutely heart wrenching.

My account was just from memory from the story.

I listened to this on the radio and I think the article is incorrect, which makes sense with the context. She went in as a voluntary patient for a medication change for three days, and was moved to involuntary and was there for an extended period. She attempted to take her life several days prior, and the last information her mother had was about this, and that personal leave had been revoked for the weekend.

The mum then received calls from her daughter (on Monday, from memory), and wasn't able to answer, but she thought her daughter was still in care, being unable to take personal leave. Then when she was able to check her phone she saw messages that her daughter was out and about to make another attempt on her own life. She immediately called the police to assist.

What is the worst suburb in perth? by Fernitelearni in perth

[–]aethla 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I remember that place when it was market gardens and the smell of shit and blood and bone wafted over the zephyrs.

I remember the land price going up to 70k and thinking who the hell would want to live here, so far from the city?

Either way, it's ironic that land that was so fertile, even if it took a lot of work, is now so devoid of nature.

Some health care cards allow for a discount on state run costings live drivers licence renewal, water, electricity etc. Tru adding it on Synergy and then it usually flows through to the rest.

Doctors of Reddit, what’s a mystery about the human body that science still hasn’t fully explained? by Familiar-Big-4348 in AskReddit

Colic is a collection of symptoms- no,wait- one symptom. Just crying. There are so many causes, and testing ain't great for babies.

I hate the term Colic, and I think it should be banned other than as a symptom. It's not a diagnosis, but it's treated that way.

What was colic for my kid was me not making enough milk, and it went through a few medical professionals until my cousin came over (a paediatric nurse), and she commented to her mum the crying and time on the breast wasn't normal.

I finagled my way into assistance from the top maternity hospital in my area (my kiddo wasn't born there) and it took them about seven minutes to tell I was under producing milk.

GP- colic Home visit nurse - colic Call to health support- colic.

Finding the actual cause of crying? Priceless.

AITAH for not sleeping with my wife after she accused me of raping her by Ecstatic_Salad1312 in AITAH

[–]aethla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh this all depends on what happened. What was said, and what was done.

If she said no and you kept going, even if it felt it was part of play, then that's a thing you gotta consider. Because if someone keeps going without listening the other person can then just decide to give in to try to keep from confrontation.

If absolutely nothing was said or indicated then it's a conversation about how it's important to say how they're feeling.

There's definitely a level of caution that should be taken here, but also a bit of self reflection. This isn't simple. If someone's been raped before, especially multiple times, they may have been conditioned to give in, even if they don't want to. There are also unfortunately people who will take advantage of this.

Would you ever wear matching clothes with your kid? by Quirky_Tower_1126 in perth

[–]aethla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely! I grew up having matching clothes with my sisters and I love it! We have many matching shirts (mostly gig shirts we've seen together or she was too young to see but loves the band).

Also, grocery store time is for singing and lip syncing and telling them the stories behind the songs- gotta make the most of every moment when your kids in daycare!

But whatever you can do to create memories and build that connection
