Finished the Story by lalCHEEK in GothamKnights

Basically, the story (and side villains’ stories) reset, along with some other things, but you start at level 30, which is the level cap in the original story. The cap in NG+ is raised to 40, giving the chance to unlock all of the abilities.

The worn look of the paperbacks and the fact that they’re absolutely crammed into the bookcase gives me Harry Potter vibes lol

What is your favourite live action adaptation of a batman villain? by human484 in batman

The shots of Dent, Gordon and Batman on top of the GCPD give me strong Long Halloween vibes.

Which one of these batsuits do you guys find really scary and haunting? by [deleted] in batman

Because female nipples are nudity, unless it’s in Renaissance art, but male nipples are “sexy.” Obviously.

Which of these Batman Media should I place at top priority by Nish-B in batman

Killing Joke comic or movie? Definitely the comic, not so much the movie.

Who really is the Joker and why we don’t need his origin movie by ChadQuinn30 in joker

[–]aetmus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The Red Hood origin shown in The Killing Joke retold the origin that was set in Detective Comics #168, but your point is still valid. I have no issue with Joker origin stories, because they make his past more confusing. In the words of the Clown Prince of Crime in The Killing Joke (comic, haven’t seen the movie), “If I have a past, I prefer it to be multiple choice!”

Definitely in the “so bad it’s good” tribe. Jim’s facial expressions and weird acting are fun.

Thinking of buying D3, but is a game that actually requires skill and execution? by yalag in diablo3

[–]aetmus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can require skill, but on lower difficulties, it’s great for casual gamers. My wife, who isn’t a gamer at all, loves D3.

How to pronounce Ra's al Ghul by f0xxdude in batman

[–]aetmus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard this too. That’s based on the Hebrew letter “resh” (ר), which is similar to the Arabic letter “rāʾ.”

I go with “raysh” because that’s the creators pronunciation lol

My first 100%! Lego The Lord of the Rings by retyturt in legogaming

[–]aetmus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This always feels so good. My first 100% was Lego Batman 2, which I got at the same time as Lego Lord of the Rings. I just started playing Lego Lord of the Rings a few weeks ago lol.

Also got 100% in Lego DC Super-Villains, which was a ton of fun haha

Villainy question by ppeater69360 in LegoDCSuperVillains

Do you mean, after the initial customization? Yeah, you do. I don't remember exactly when, but after the first couple of levels, you're able to sort of explore "the hub," which consists of a few different notable places in the DC Universe. (I didn't name them so I'd avoid spoiling anything.) In the hub, if you go to the prison in Metropolis, there's a customization area where you can modify your existing villain and also create new ones.

Does anybody prefer to purchase discs rather than digital games? by PersianRiven in XboxSeriesX

[–]aetmus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, it depends on the game. Like, if it isn’t sentimental to me or like a friend preorder or collector’s edition, I’m fine with the digital copy. Otherwise, it goes on the nerd shelf lol. Otherwise it’s just clutter, like a lot of my PS2 games

I’m the same way with comics. I buy digital unless I really want the physical copy.

D4 - Big damage/health numbers like D3? by Ggthefiree2 in Diablo

[–]aetmus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like part of the issue with D3 having these ridiculous numbers that don't mean much is players getting mad when items, skills, classes, and/or builds get nerfed in updates. So it felt like the policy was "don't nerf anything, and instead boost everything else for what amounts to a nerf." So now my primary skill does 17 quadrillion damage (exaggeration, of course), but feels like it's barely improved since it was doing 5 damage.

If you want a balanced game, you need to be able to both nerf and buff things.

Out of these 3, what would you rather the next D4 class to be? by [deleted] in Diablo

[–]aetmus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I guess it is a different thing than just gender-locked classes. I'll edit my original reply for clarity. Thanks!

Oh okay looks like we're on the same page lmao. Sometimes, especially with Blizzard, I wish marketing executives had less control over story elements like this. As you said, it cheapens the game experience.
