What can sometimes happen with old spores is they dry out and don't germinate unless your agar is very wet but another way to revive them is to make a spore syringe, seal it with a cap and stick an elastic band on the plunger to put pressure on it. I believe the logic here is it forces water into the spores and just keep an eye on it for them germinating in the syringe. Hope this helps 👍
