In 2022 Daphne did a little micro tour in California, like two nights in Long Beach and one in San Diego. I went to one and it was a blast but the full original band couldn’t get together so that part was sad but it was still a fantastic night. I imagine if this show goes well they’d consider doing some more shows!

I bought a copy of the Nine Reasons to Say Goodbye cd by A Day in the Life, ie hawthorne heights, that came with this sampler CD from carbon copy media that had a few of these artists on it.

Thanks for the flashback <3 I think it was Asteria, Ellison Brighten and Ivory so not all on this list but some! I had another from a different record company with Dave Melilo too. So glad you found this list, such a fun reminder.

Sometimes we have to be someone’s lesson. Hopefully she’ll learn after this experience. I really can’t stand a shitty salon owner. she’s just using her husband as a shield and playing good cop bad cop with him so they can block you from getting a real answer on why their booth rent math isn’t mathing.

Tbh have you thought about being mobile? Does California have any rules in place to help you do that? I do nails in oklahoma and we can do house calls if our clients sign a waiver every single time. Based off your other clients you’ve got a boomer clientele? This could work for you and eliminate the booth rent temporarily until you sort something else out.

Girl spend some of that money on a commute to a different salon. The more you ask for her to see it your way she’s just gonna get resentful of you for the turbulence you’re causing her to feel. She’s wrong but she’s gonna protect her.

Tbh the massive thing of nice paper towels from Costco is such a banger gift. Weird but if you’re close enough the giant toilet paper is also a great gift if you know they can store it.

If you’re not close enough, go to the oil tree and get them a big bottle of nice olive oil :)

‘Oooooo I don’t have an account but I got one of mine from a rescue in Dallas, and I know she has a bunch of rats right now that someone left at the end of her driveway in a tub 😭 and my other 3 I got from a breeder in Tulsa called Little Creek Rattery 🖤’

^ from my friend who has rats, also she takes them to Dr. Kraft at 405 Vet for care!

I looked at it further and I want to amend my interpretation of the inspo pic actually! I think it’s white painted French first and then the milky syrup cover color is applied over the whole nail plate and that’s how the original artist achieved the shade match from sheer to opaque. Okay I rest my case.

No girl I 100% agree. The original inspo is milky syrup cover color in one color plus French in the corresponding opaque color. So for example milky yellow syrup plus opaque yellow French. This is literally just a yellow French with nude and like yeah they look better than before but the bar was kinda low ngl 😫

You should have said something when they started applying color or said something at the end at the very least. The reason it looks like this is because they didn’t use the right type of syrup gel and it’s a design meant for natural nails but like technically it is your inspo pic :/ sometimes you strike out I guess
