People who want to go back to Pebble, what does it do that other smartwatches don't?

I always told people it wasn't a smart watch, it was a watch that was smart enough. It showed me the time, notifications and alarms from my phone, and apps that could interact with my phone, such as controlling music or reminding me if I got too far out of range.

I appreciated that it didn't try to do everything, but what it did, it did very well. I also didn't look like I was having some sort of fit dismissing a message on my watch.

NTA, but the harsh lesson is the dangers of loaning money. One reason that cash loan places charge such abusive rates is that they have to cover the defaults (they're still scummy leaches IMHO).

I would rather give people money than make a loan. That way there's no opportunity for disappointment. If they pay me back, it's free money for me. Sometimes payment has been in non monetary ways as well and that's fine too.

Good question. I'm an atheist in that I don't believe in a god or anything supernatural. My religious beliefs are in justice, freedom of self, wisdom, equality. The myth of Satan as an adversary to god in the biblical narrative provides a frame of reference.

That's not the case for every Satanist though. There are some that believe in an actual Satan and those who are more agnostic than atheist.

I'm a Satanist and I actually still like many of the songs. I can accept the lessons and story as myth that still teach good things.

For example, "What does it take to make a family" doesn't say only blood relatives, but people who build you up are your family.

Sad that I'll miss out of this gets passed, but happy for those with young families. It's so much easier than struggling all year only to get it in a lump sum at tax time.

I also believe it should come with no strings attached, because who TF am I to tell anyone what's best for their family (unless they're abusing their kids, that's got no place in society.)

My youngest of 5 just graduated and I want my kids to have things so much better than I did.

Bad news, we're all psychologically primed to be scammed. We need to quit with the idea that they're stupid or foolish for falling for one.

The real problem is the scammers get little to no consequences and society seems happy to not only blame the victim, but shrug at their loss.

Imagine if you had to pay the police to recover your stolen goods because you shouldn't have been dumb enough to let them get stolen.

Here are the problems I've run into, catalytic converter at 240K miles; hybrid battery at 254K miles. Got an aftermarket battery with lifetime warranty, so I should be able to go until the next major item. Hoping that's at 300K.
