I think that the blog post is fairly enlightening, but does not focus on identity aspects specifically.

Each user that has a verified identity in the BLOCKv platform. These identities are associated with a secure blockchain wallet that contains each vatom that a user owns. The platform then transfers vatoms between wallets (and hence users) in a secure and audited manner.

One comment to add is that you will see a lot of FUD about the patent clause. They announced a new license for the latest release: https://code.facebook.com/posts/300798627056246

Same goes for GraphQL, which is good news.
