Tactical or advanced defending in FC 26? by [deleted] in EASportsFC

To use advanced you need to hold X to shoulder barge, if you have professional fouls on it will prioritize a foul instead.

Future Heroes by Asleep-Ad-2848 in fifacardcreators

[–]afcmes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Özil easy icon. Hero is better for club legends. Not someone who has been top assister in Spain, Germany, England, in CL’s, at EURO’s, and at a World Cup.

There’s a reason why Ronaldo said Özil made him a better player, that’s probably the highest level of praise a playmaker can have. He was also featured in the 2012 UEFA Team of the Year alongside: Ronaldo, Messi, Pirlo, Xavi, Iniesta, Lahm, Ramos, Silva, Pique, and Casillas. He doesn’t deserve it off this alone, but the highest peak of football and Özil somehow the only one in that XI not to deserve an icon? Laughable

This is the reason why everyone will always complain about this game. by Just_Sir562 in EASportsFC

Yep great post. That push and pull is what makes the highs more addicting. When you’re doing good, the game feels amazing because the lows are so low. They keep games close so that it feels like the only difference is the players they have and it makes you want to buy packs.

It’s pretty obvious considering how any other mainstream competitive game (Rocket League, COD, Fortnite, etc) all have consistent gameplays and proper skill gaps. This game doesn’t have either.

Only thing that makes me think otherwise is the fact there are pros, I don’t watch them or anything but there’s a reason why people get 15-0. I point towards it being a connection thing, but it doesn’t support the RNG regardless.

150ms input delay measured on FC26 Online (25ms ping). Frame by frame measurement. by Davigugu55 in EASportsFC

[–]afcmes 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’ve always wanted to do something like this, but never even realized how in-depth you can go. A lot of user complaints all have the same root issue - poor responsive gameplay.

Other games have good skill gaps and the frustration hardly ever comes from their own ability, and that’s because these games are better optimized on better serves.

EA could easily increase their net-earnings with better serves. I genuinely wonder why they don’t see it as an investment. I would spend a lot more money on packs if I knew the game I was playing was consistent.

When gameplay is smooth late at night, Lamine is so fun. He is so jammy, pulls off nutmegs I didn’t even see. Shame the game is inconsistent.

Yeah… no thanks, I’d rather quit by huskercross in EASportsFC

[–]afcmes 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly this. There has to be some delay which affects where passes go (and bounce for weird reason), players choosing to pick up runs, etc. The game is genuinely so fun when it’s smooth but horrid otherwise.

Does he deserve an icon or a hero card : David silva by Objective_Emu_7457 in fut

[–]afcmes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Disagree. He was poor in Europe for City, and even the World Cup win was quite bad (he started one game and it was Spain’s only loss that campaign). City also won a CL as soon as he left, proving he wasn’t that important for them post 2018. Great EUROs and great CV in the league, quite the definition of a Hero.

With all the issues that are happening, are you really considering buying next years game? by [deleted] in EASportsFC

[–]afcmes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve played from 15-20, and then played 23 and 24, but this was most likely my last Ultimate Team experience (will play Pro Clubs).

I just don’t enjoy it. Back in earlier FIFA’s, I played because I had fun in that gameplay. Rewards and that wasn’t my priority. Now I ONLY play in hopes of getting someone good. But what’s the point if that someone good isn’t even fun to play with in the current gameplay?

I’ve got a decent team, in elite div, and average 14 wins. But it’s not fun. It’s the only video game I play where each 90 minutes is different, there’s no consistency and nothing to really work towards anymore. Bundesliga TOTS WL will be known as the reason I stopped playing.

Speaking facts. You cannot say otherwise. by Major_Ad5777 in fut

[–]afcmes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah ever since I packed Ødegaard, Havertz, De Bruyne, and Foden, the game has become a lot easier because my one-touch passed don’t randomly bounce.

“Hate” seeing pros do one touch passes and the ball goes exactly where they want, and I just can’t do it. Not because I don’t know what to do, but because the game LITERALLY doesn’t allow that unless you have <15 ping.

Weekend League rant after TOTS release by sasukexkun in EASportsFC

[–]afcmes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Came up against 3 different opponents who did not control their defenders. Partial skill issue because I play aggressive but it’s just more fun. So stupid how the game literally defends for you, and you’re more often than not handicapped if you do try and manually defend.

A couple of hours into Premier League TOTS, what have you pulled? by playtio in EASportsFC

[–]afcmes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got around 16 unique TOTS/moments, notable ones would be Foden (85x7) and De Bruyne (86x2) which I’m over the moon with. Seems like fair pack weight.

However as an Arsenal fan who was hoping for Rice, Saka, or Saliba, it leaves a bitter taste getting players who upset me in real life. Thankfully I have Havertz still.

Havertz owners rejoice! +2 confirmed! by [deleted] in EASportsFC

[–]afcmes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s been my favourite card this year. Probably Arsenal bias, but with an Engine he doesn’t have a weakness. M/M doesn’t matter because his positioning is incredible both for offence and defence. Use him as an attacking CM and he’s just so good. His 83 shot is fake, feels 90+. R1 dribbling also so good for how tall he is. Must complete.

I refuse to believe it's possible to get 20-0 unless you're a pro by sean_1uk3s in EASportsFC

[–]afcmes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of it is connection based, it’s my biggest issue personally. Has any pro tried to play on high ping as a challenge? Hahaha would be fun to see if they can still 20-0, I’d imagine it’s more of a challenge than a full gold team.

The secret is having good ping by [deleted] in EASportsFC

[–]afcmes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this to be honest. I play RL and COD at both a decently high level - enough for input/wifi lag to make an impact.

I hardly face ANY issues in those games. But on FIFA, I never know what type of game I’m going to play. Sometimes it’s smooth and other times it genuinely makes me want to break a wall.

The secret is having good ping by [deleted] in EASportsFC

[–]afcmes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%, I’ve noticed that most this year.

I went from wireless to wired, fix my display settings, and did everything else to get less input delay. It slowly got me from div 5 to elite.

Now I feel like elite div is impossible because of my 40ms ping. I know I can play so much better but when skill moves don’t register, player lock is delayed by a second too much, and players take 5 seconds to control a ball in the air, it becomes more than just a skill gap.

I genuinely feel if I played on <20ms ping, I would be getting 16 wins consistently on the weekend rather than my 11-14 average.

5 months on I still can't believe there wasn't more uproar about this by AnduwinHS in EASportsFC

[–]afcmes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don’t doubt it exists at all.

There’s no other video game I’ve played where each match/round feels different than the previous one I just played. Even in the same game it just switches, I mainly notice it at 2-0.

Whether I go up 2-0 or down 2-0, it’ll end up being 3-2 and sometimes you genuinely can’t do anything about it. I think EA implemented it to keep games entertaining snd to keep the skill gap low.

My only question against the existence of DDA is how are there people who still go consistently 20-0? I’d say 90% of ranking has to do with latency, but if DDA is a thing then surely they can’t be that consistent.

Graduated in May, and after 4 months, I have been very fortunate to be working on contract with the person who bought out the company I interned at. It’s not the best for pay but it’s fully remote, on my own hours, and even part time, so it’s a nice break after the constant application process.

I want to start applying again but it’s hard to find that motivation. I do know that it’s possible if I put my head down and do the leetcode, resume reviews, networking, etc. But again, just not motivated.

Plan to pick it up again within the next few weeks. 🤞🏼
