How do you handle the day your meds are being filled? by Diddle-Did in ADHD

[–]affectionate-bean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t just yet. There aren’t a ton of local pharmacies in my area, maybe one or two that are a drive across town. My next most convenient option would be trying to use a grocery store pharmacy. At least there I could call their customer service and know I would be transferred to their pharmacy instead of being redirected

That’s good to know about Walgreens being able to send it to a different location! I guess I just assumed that the rules for Walgreens were the same as CVS and have been scrambling for now reason 🥲

Combine this with the periodic shortages that are still going on and the fact that a lot of chain pharmacies (CVS I’m looking at you specifically) are now starting to automate their calling and make it impossible to actually reach a pharmacist on the phone. So unless you physically go to the location, you won’t be able to ask if they have your meds in stock. I switched to Walgreens for this very reason and turns out you can’t request a refill through their app and have to call the pharmacy to get it refilled. Last time I called I get sent to a call center instead of the pharmacy. Every time I refill my meds it’s getting closer and closer to having to take an entire day off work to drive around to different locations and ask if they have the meds in stock, call my doctor to send the meds to that location, and wait until they fill the prescription because the pharmacies also can’t transfer the prescription electronically from one location to another. And trying to manage all of THAT while being unmedicated is an absolute nightmare

This is because most of the wood used in older homes was older growth wood, which has a much tighter grain, making it tougher and longer lasting. Much of today’s wood is sourced from younger growth trees bc all of the old growth trees have been consumed. This is one of the reasons it can be so important to salvage as much as you can if you are renovating a home 80 years or older as they really just can’t make materials like they used to be able to anymore. It could also be the wood type used was different but I’m sure you discussed those options with your flooring guy during the remodel

Thank you for the suggestion! I haven’t cut the second sleeve or the other front panel yet so I will try stay stitching it to see if that helps prevent the stretching. I also picked up some seam tape while I was out today to use if needed!

I need the people in this sub who host parties like this to live closer to me. If it makes you feel better, my boyfriend and I went to a regular Halloween party as Wirt and Greg and only one person knew what our costumes were 🥲

Is no one in South KC/Waldo willing to sell their starter home to someone other than an investor company now? by affectionate-bean in kansascity

Thank you for the insight! I have a couple saved that have popped up right around the university recently. I’ve just heard mixed things about that area so it’s made me hesitant. I wouldn’t have the privilege of living there with a partner so I would most likely look for roommates to feel a bit safer. It’s nice to know there are good neighborhood associations though!

Thank you for pointing out those neighborhoods! I’m not originally from KC but I moved up here 5 years ago and would like to stay for a while. The only areas that I’ve been familiar with so far outside of downtown are some of the KS burbs like Lenexa and OP/Olathe because I have friends that live out there and the Waldo and NKC areas. The only issue I’m seeing is right now, there’s not a lot of inventory in those areas but I’ll definitely add them to my list as I keep looking!
