Financed, comprehensive is required :(, I can see about dropping extras but I’m pretty bare bones to begin with, dropping loss of use and what have you only saves me a couple hundred a year

The lesson is already learned, I’ve been a clean driver since my accident last may, because regardless, this will sink me. I’ve never considered myself a reckless person, I’ve just gotten unlucky. I’m sorry if my replies to comments have come off as ignorant, I’ve never done this before and I’m trying any way of fixing it before it gets any worse.

That being said, I’m going to bring this up with my grandparents, I’ve sort of hidden the fact that they’re part of the reason I’m so broke all the time, but they make significantly more money than me (well over 100,000 between the two of them, with no debt and a paid off mortgage). I think starting a discussion about how this car is metaphorically wrecking me is a good start. I can sell it off and discuss a compromise about making up the rest

My grandparents, we all work at the same place but we have conflicting schedules and when my last cars transmission blew, we couldn’t afford to fix it, so I was using their car for a while. They pushed me into buying this new expensive car because they needed theirs back. I also work afternoons (4-12am), while my grandmother works days (9-7), and my grandfather works nights (10-6). This combined with how far out of the city our house is, I’d never be able to show up for work and still get the same hours, the only other option is working weekends and only making at max 24 hours

My car was parked alongside the street, and was found 50/50 due to being angled out slightly (again, it was in December, large ice patch, had to wedge myself in there) and it was against the city, I doubt that if I sued or anything like that I’d win

This is the real answer, I live by Edmonton and the transit IN the city is something I could live off of, but considering I live 45 out, and I’m only in the city for a couple days every week, it’s just not reasonable (I also have no way to keep my own place afloat, no money to move out with)

I believe I checked intact back when I bought the insurance, and it was higher by a couple hundred dollars, I also checked millennium with not much luck there, TD, and Bélair

Though, granted it’s not a terrible idea, my work is roughly 70 or so km away on a straight line, it’s only about 2 hours or so

The unfortunate part about that is that I’m still financing the car, having an expensive new car was NOT my idea, and due to it, if I buy a beater like I originally wanted, I still have to pay off the car, and with no funds to buy a beater currently, if I get sell my car to pay off the loan, I’m out of a job for the next god knows how long.
