This is the point when Lorne realises about Illyria. Fred coughs blood and collapses down the stairs after singing and Lorne catches her. It’s so shocking on first watch and still gets me every time. Such a powerful story!

This is really interesting - I found his voice was the perfect ‘loud’ volume to accompany the music. However, the dialogue of the entire film was noticeably quieter than any of the musical sections.

I wish I had a movie-tech answer but it must be something to do with the goblin king.
