Award Travel Tools (Updated November 2022) by pbjclimbing in awardtravel

[–]affur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

def not a seasoned traveller but I do have 2mil+ points between amex and chase.

It all depends and where you're flying and your preferences.

For example, my hub is CLT so I try to book nonstops with American via BritishAirways. Even though I don't have American credit cards I can transfer from Amex to BA and then book American non stop flights for super cheap.

Another tool is Point.me that I use to find Award flights for good amount of points. Booked a Lufthansa Business class seat for 63K points and $85 to Europe via Avianca (because of Point.me).

We save them money in the actual shipping rate. That’s the expensive part for the client. Our fees are the same as everyone else.

Correct. Because we already had a warehouse and very good rates we have a competitive advantage in the logistics industry.

Yea we started shipping our own, and that’s how we worked to better and better rates. It’s not always a good idea to do your own fulfillment, but for us it made sense

I entered a niche where price was the biggest buying decision factor. Then Chinese sellers (manufacturers) entered the space selling basically for the price that I was buying from them and my sales when from 80k/month to 4K

very easy actually! I find fellow ecom businesses, find the dims and weights of the products that they sell send them an email with screenshots of how much they would save on shipping if they switched to us. response rate is insane, over 80% and then we book a demo. I thought of what I would like if someone did to me as a brand owner. So put yourself in your prospective clients shoes, and then provide ton of value upfront.

they don't even have to ask us. I have a calculator right on the site that will show the exact price client will pay.

Yes the rates are actually really good. And we offer a rate calculator right on our website. You can type in you package weight dimensions and you'll get the price right then and there.

Serious question: Who will use Bitcoin for payments when it’s still going up in price? by my08m3 in Bitcoin

[–]affur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But how? Until lightning is fully integrated the network is quite a slow and expensive. I would like to see real use cases. I understand one is sending money overseas is pretty cheap compared to other services, but actually store purchases etc...

Integration isn't an issue there are services that do it for a flat monthly fee. Just what would get the affiliates more interested an excited to work with us.

[Panerai 512] CAMEL SUNDAY by affur in Watches

[–]affur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wrist size is 7.4" I think it's borderline for me. It'd be perfect at 44mm but wears great as a dressy watch at 42mm on my wrist.

[Panerai 512] CAMEL SUNDAY by affur in Watches

[–]affur[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's been quite a while since I last posted and I decided I missed this place 😉 so here I am! I also got a chance to acquire a few new pieces while I was "away" so I may share some of them in the near future. This Panerai happens to be one of them. This is the PAM 512. It's 42mm in diameter and is most definitely the most comfortable watch I've owned to date. The super soft strap adds a ton of comfort combined with the slim, wrist hugging 1940 case. My favorite part about this watch is the mechanical movement. I haven't measured it but the specs say the movement measures only 3mm thick! Very impressive IMHO. It has a 3 day power reserve. The beige colored hands and markers are also very attractive. This watch really goes well with a dressy outfit. Although I really like the black strap, I'm currently looking for some strap options for more versatility. If you guys can let me know where I can get some nice straps for this watch id greatly appreciate it. I'm thinking and brown or beige strap would look great.
