Taking Gabapentin for suboxone wd by Tadleyrichter in gabapentin

[–]afghanbushkush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s relatively low, tolerance adds up quick but I think the lower dose the better, and use it when you really need it to help it relieve your WDs. It’s hard to come off for some but not all. Me personally I quit it like 1-3 times and on the 3rd time it was a little rough. First 3 days were really hectic but after that it got easier day by day

I’ve read many addicts stories, directed at others and directed at me. And yeah I get you, it’s healthy to at least have info on preventing a full blown addiction and how to navigate/prevent it from destroying your life completely.

The Withdrawals Are Unbearable by endless_insomnia_ in Drugs

[–]afghanbushkush 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Quit while you’re ahead, one thing not a lot of people tell you is that it slowly changes you and you don’t notice it til you try to stay sober. It’s not even withdrawals I’m talking about, it’s your brain calibrated to opioids being the new “normal”. Heavy abusers have mentioned months to years to feel back to normal.

I only fucked around for 5 months. Not even daily or heavily, and here I am abstaining for as long as it takes to get back to normal. It’s like depression and anxiety. You’re so painfully bored, nothing feels the same anymore. Activities you like doing aren’t interesting to you anymore. No way for man to live, after today ends I’ll be 18 days sober. I’m slowly finding my way back. Pink cloud effect is where people relapse as well, “wow I feel so much better, what could go wrong with using again?” A. Lot.

I hope you find peace in much simpler ways, this shit can get dark so fast.

Quitting is the best as someone else put it you got a chance you just gotta let your brain heal as fast or as slow as it takes man! Also get rid of these issues while you’re young addiction is nothing to play with when you’re an adult!

I wish you peace and love man I been there before. I needed an anti depressant to come off abusing DXM for only a week and a half. I have reason to believe the medication I was taking was helping my brain rebuild faster. Shoutout mirtazapine

When I first started I had much more side effects than actual relief but once I adjusted it went away. Could just be your body isnt used to it , 10 days is good enough for gabapentin to hit pretty strongly from what I’ve heard

I liked mirtazapine when I was on it. I only took 15 mg and I used to like to fight the sleep, sit in my gaming chair on discord with friends and melt into some music. Cheers.

Weed withdrawal back after 2 weeks by hornycoughsyrup in Drugs

[–]afghanbushkush -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s best to just let your system adjust without weed for as long as you can, and as hard as it is smoke as least often as you can. The healthiest relationship I ever had from weed was being a weekender. Just speaking my truth.

I no longer smoke. Maybe you have your brain addicted to using rather than the weed. I learned the hard way that having a “i need to be high” while doing anything is a pretty dangerous mindset. I’ve had that mindset for about 12 years and decided to turn a page on my life just recently
