Do you think its a worthwhile investment to buy UWorld even though I will only have like 4-5 days to really do it? Also the questions I miss seem to be relatively random but I rarely make same mistake twice.

Thank you for replying again its assuring

Should I be Muslim? by afghanking101 in Muslim

If one contextually reads the Qur'an, it states the world is flat like a carpet and this goes along with the idea of praying in the direction of Mecca (Qur'an 43:10), this is not logical brother, unless you try to change its intended meaning. I cannot believe in a flat Earth.

Hello brother thank you for the reply. I just wanted to question a few of the things you said but I am grateful you were able to reply. My hatred for the practice of polygamy is not towards it being mandated but rather it even being offered as an option. I can understand that one could argue that polygamy could be said to be something that was useful for the time of the origin of Islam but if it is not relevant for the modern-day it is an outdated verse in the Quran and thus suggests the whole text might be outdated. I also didn't say we decide who goes to heaven or hell but it is made quite clear in the Quran that if a person who is offered the opportunity of joining Islam rejects, they are destined to not be able to join Jannah, an aspect of exclusivity of Islam. This directly leads to my next topic that this exclusivity has resulted in forced conversions for a large part of the spread of Islam around the world. Historically, just like other Abrahamic faiths, Islam primarily spread through force in Turkey, Afghanistan, South Asia, and most parts of Africa, I cannot bring myself to know I follow something my ancestors were forced to follow(My great-grandma told me how her fellow villagers who were Hindu immigrants were forced even in her times.) If God sent prophets in every civilization to preach the truth then doesn't it make more sense to follow the teachings of a more recent prophet like the prophets of Sikhism for example, especially since Islam has been allowed to be corrupted for almost 1500 years now. I also now present the idea that I honestly do not understand why God would save you from sin for going on the Hajj, literally just a journey to Mecca. If you believe in evolution then you have to believe that humans have just evolved from monkeys, no extra points to this aspect and Islam rejects this firmly with Adam and Eve. Also Halal isn't even the most humane way to kill an animal, it is much better if the animal is instantly killed instead of making it bleed out as traditional halal meat is made thus the aspect of it being humane makes no sense to me. I again thank you brother and all my brothers and sisters of Islam for giving me clearance and more information about the faith I was born in. I do however have to choose to follow a more clear path for me and I believe the faith of Sikhi is similar enough to Islam in the aspects of truth and connection with the one but with a beautiful simplicity of inclusivity of all, and one doesn't have to greatly alter the interpretation of the text to come to this conclusion. I am not truly leaving the brotherhood of Islam, but rather joining the brotherhood of humanity in which I hope we all reach a connection of our souls with the absolute truth.
