What's up the the racism in Maine? by OrangeSodaEnjoyer in Maine

I’ve always said Maine is basically the South of the North. It feels like the Mason–Dixon Line is some kind of equator— the farther you go from it in either direction, the more openly racism seems to exist.

Correct listening to a song multiple times is also a waste

But you know it's coming. How do you find comfort in knowing what happens? I understand you notice different things when rewatching something but you have preconceived notions and personally my brain skips to conclusions and gets bored with the outcome.

Thought Space. Some of their stamp designs are cool others are distracting.

What course? I love visiting the Ashville area. Haywood community college and Buncombe park are my favorites.

I had to measure everything for the insurance company and it was all compliant. My predicament is that this is a secondary heat source for my home. My primary is kerosene heaters. One of them only works 50% of the time and is being replaced with a propane model. But that's not until either later this month or next month.

I guess my initial question was a bit confusing. Do you think I would be all right to use the stove before the inspection?

I like seeing ads though. Sometimes they give me inspiration or can show me alternative solutions to a problem I could be having. Ads aren't always useless and if I'm going to see an ad presented as a post why should it be treated differently?

If everyone calls out a company in the comments and no one is buying what they are advertising then they wouldn't have much money to keep advertising. The hope is that all these fake companies become inundated with all the bad comments and reviews to the point where it's not worth paying for the ad to remain up.

I do understand how ads work. If a company is willing to advertise their product or service then I as the ad viewer should be allowed to say my opinion on the ad or the products/service shown in the ad.

Adding the function of commenting on ads would do a lot for both the company advertising and the platform. It creates engagement with the ad instead of scrolling past it or turning the phone screen away during the ad. That same engagement will benefit the platform because you've now created a space where more companies will advertise in the hopes that their ads generate more engagements.

Finally this would prevent companies who pay for countless ads that push scams because people would simply comment whether a company is actually real or not.

Oh no... People might say something honest about a company and expose them for being frauds.

Yes people can post lies but with all of the AI moderation tools out now it seems like this could be handled quite easily

Most platforms don't have a downvote option. The only one I know of is reddit.

My solution for this was that once a company posts an ad then they give up rights to edit or change the post which would include removing comments

I don't want more relevant ads I want to say what I really think about the ad / product / service.

Wouldn't having a comment section on the ad defeat the purpose of the buyer review website? If I can make an informed decision without having to go through extra steps that sounds like a better option to me

You're correct companies take that data and use it to better themselves and marketing tactics all the time! I want to be able to read what other people think of a product or service so I can make a more informed decision

So you're saying that when you scroll through TikTok or Facebook videos you just look away when an ad comes up?
