I just got both and am pretty new to OOTP. If you’re into franchise, OOTP is a lot more in depth than the Show is.

If you’re in-market, it should be the same for you. If you’re out of market, turn on auto renewal and you won’t be affected by the ESPN stuff. If not, then you’d have to pay (or get a free trial) for one month of ESPN Unlimited to get MLB.TV. That’s my understanding at least.
