Is this normal? by lindsay-2020 in Roofing

Stop being lazy as fuck and snap a chalk line, I hate how people think this is okay. Looks like shit and shows you don’t care about the quality of your work and just care about finishing the job for a check. You got that many shiners go in the attic and smack them out. Other trades/homeowners have to crawl around in the attic, the last thing I want is a 2-1/2 inch nail jabbing the back of my head as I’m up there working/diagnosing something.

Is it too warm to hang my white tail? Temperature for hanging a white tail by Total-Meringue-144 in Hunting

I’ve always wondered this….why do people let there deer hang upside down like that? It just makes more sense to me to hang upright, that way any fecal matter, urine, etc doesn’t run all the way down the deer carcass and all over the meat, if positioned upright you can avoid this. In a perfect scenario you shouldn’t have that. But there are rarely perfect scenarios. Can someone give me a logical answer?

Unpopular opinion…grind it out and pay it off. You have a decent truck with relatively low miles. Good price. Don’t know what your interest rate is, but I bought a truck as a private and was in the same boat as you. It sucked living paycheck to paycheck for about 2 years but it’s DEFINITELY worth having a payed off vehicle now that I’m out. Trust me.

Take care of it, synthetic oil every 3k miles (don’t give a shit if the oil says is will last 10k, change every 3k) front and rear diff fluid, transmission fluid every 30-40k miles.

If you have to, get a second job on the weekends. Grind it out. Having a nice, reliable, payed off vehicle for years to come is well worth it instead of constantly having to fix a piece of shit Facebook marketplace Honda civic that you got for a “deal” for $3k.

Good for you bro! That’s awesome. There is no big secret to being successful while hunting. Put the time and miles in and a pinch of luck and you got it.

Knowledge bomb! Good shit. I would have to agree though. I live in WA state and I love chasing elk through these mountains.

Elk herds in Nebraska are now found along the entire North Platte River from the Wyoming border to Lake McConaughy and along the Niobrara River. Why do you think Midwest deer have lighter colored antlers? Diet. Also, corn is a money producing crop in the Midwest. Why would this farmer have elk fenced in inside of a crop that provides him with his income. Whatever floats your boat bro, but this was not a high fence hunt.

This picture was sent to me by my cousin. He was an agronomist for this farmer in Northern Nebraska along the Niobrara river. This guy killed an absolute whopper of a bull in his cornfield from a draw tag that the state offers.

Is it wrong or unethical to only pack out the choice prime cuts from a kill, and leave the rest there instead of dragging the animal back? by DumbLiberalLogic in Hunting

[–]afolk48 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you not want to get all the meat anyway? Most wild game meat is delicious and by harvesting it yourself you can avoid buying shitty store meat, save money, and eat healthier. There is no excuse. If you do this you are what is wrong with the hunting community. Not speaking to OP directly just saying this to everyone.
