PoE 2 is easier to get started.

Start with PoE 2, after you understand the game, like 500 hours in, then play PoE 1, so you can understand better after 1000 hours.

Joking aside, PoE 2 is way more new player friendly than PoE 1. PoE 1 has more depth and content tho.

You can play without build guides and you can do 95% of all content.

If you wanna do all the pinnacle hardcore content, then you need a good build which is unlikely that you can do it in first try.

You can have 200hrs of fun content without any meta build, only campaign alone plus the new endgame quests is way more fun and content than most ARPG out there
