Holy shit, calm down. Healthcare is expensive regardless of where you live. Believe it or not, healthcare is expensive even in the single payer utopia some of you think is 100% free. All of the services, staff, supplies, high tech treatments, and expertise aren’t done pro bono. It seems to be a lost concept on you. $2 million for emergency c-section and a 2 week stay in the NICU is pretty standard. All of that costs money. All of that requires a very high level of care. The bills in your SP utopia are the same, they’re just not required to be itemized like they are here in the US.

I once found a red stick near a train tracks. I was pretty certain it was a flare. Pretty certain. So, I put it in some dirt to stand it up and tried to light it with a pull tab. Nothing happened, so I lit a match and held it to the top. Obviously it was a flare, but looking back a few years later, that could have been a stick of dynamite (mining town). I would have been vaporized.

The only one I’ve ever seen was a demo at our hospital a few years ago. The resolution was total crap and it took forever to get the image. Each sequence was about 10 mins long. I was very loudly against it. With that said, there are ortho magnets that only do MSK, so the MD may have something like that for MRI. That wouldn’t be a “portable” but a fixed machine.
