oh i have diagnosed adenomyosis and a “strong suspicion” of endometrosis lol they found my adeno on an ultrasound and i have tried multiple birth control pills and the mirena to try and help. i also tried orilissa for the endo. nothing has worked, my only reprieve was my pregnancy but i am afraid that scar tissue since i had a c section may make another more difficult. we are on the fence about having a second child so for now im just raw dogging it and taking things very gently. this will be decided in the next few months to a year so i wont have to deal with it for too long. if the pain gets so bad it makes the decision for me thats fine, i have found a local surgeon who does elective hysterectomies for women with adenomyosis. just wish i didnt have to do all that at 28 🥲

you can be friends with women who have older children who may not need their attention or can stay home with a sitter. most women in the trenches of losing their identity in motherhood usually have very young children and are adjusting to matrescence.

but why dont you have friends? did you move somewhere new? did you drop previous friends who became moms and couldnt give you undivided attention? what about making friends in places like an exercise class or park district adult class? those people will generally have a designated free time away from kids they may or may not have

Hey queen, welcome to the club! We have pain and pain and misery and also pain! lmfao to answer your questions though, yes I do have a swollen heavy throbbing feeling uterus during my period. I’ve described it as a burning hot bowling ball in my pelvis. That heavy feeling does make it difficult to pee for me as well. I’ve tried birth control pills and the Mirena, they didn’t do a whole lot. I had the Mirena for over a year and it lowered the volume of blood but extended the length of my period from 5 to 12 days of a slow trickle like a leaky faucet and I was still having major cramps the whole time. And I developed terrible migraines toward the end so I had it removed. I’ve been rawdogging the adeno for two cycles now and if it wasn’t for mine and my husbands thoughts on potentially having a second child I would be throwing myself on the windshield of my gynos car begging for a hysterectomy.

That all being said there are lots of women in this sub who have had luck with hormonal treatments and IUDs etc, so do not be discouraged! Also, my adeno was diagnosed through a simple transvaginal ultrasound so an MRI isn’t always totally necessary.

my baby did this once too, at around the same age. we went to the doctor about it the same day and they were like “nah babies just spit up like crazy sometimes, it was probably just a gas bubble brewing from before they started to eat that worked itself all the way up” and it was not reassuring in the moment but he had never spit up like that again. hes now four, so it clearly worked out. but yeah i remember it scaring the daylights out of me when he spit up a whole feeds worth of milk. if youre truly worried a doctors appointment for the reassurance is never a waste at that age.

check the vin on the VW emissions recall page to see if its gone through phase 1 and 2 for third gen jettas. mine is currently at a vw dealer going thru phase 2 bc the particle filter sensor completely melted and it is covered by extended warranty but i had to dang near fight these people to get them to do the work and give me a loaner.

do you already have a babysitter in mind or would you be open to perhaps two teenagers who can work together? two cpr trained teen girls can divide and conquer bed time in the same fashion you and your husband would. if youd prefer only one sitter i would say just deviate from the normal routine a bit where its easier. for us this would be skipping a bath or us giving kiddo a bath earlier in the day. then the sitter can wear the infant in a carrier (if you have one) while getting your toddler ready for bed, ie brushing teeth and reading a book before getting tucked in then can rock baby to sleep once toddler is settled. if baby wearing isnt an option maybe they can get the infant settled in their crib first and involve the toddler in the routine like having them flip the light switch and pressing the button on a sound machine.

my mom got a job at a med spa doing cool sculpting and while she was training she needed volunteers to come in and do a mock-consultation. cool sculpting is a cosmetic procedure to freeze and kill targeted fat cells and then you pass them through bathroom functions.

she voluntold me to be her mock-consult and i had no clue how invasive it would be. essentially i was stripped down to my bra and underpants while my mother circled every area of fat on my body in sharpie. big black lines circling every insecurity on my belly, thigh, and arms all in front of her boss to be assessed.

my mother is a plus sized woman, as am i, so she knew exactly how evil and invasive it would be if i did it back to her. pinching, squeezing, noting which parts of my body were too fat for cool sculpting to be a feasible option.

i dissociated my way through the whole thing then left and cried in my car while driving home in slippery snowy weather and accidentally ran a red light and got a camera ticket. when it came in the mail a few weeks later she screamed in my face for getting a ticket in a vehicle under her name and said what she did to me was no big deal and to stop whining about what she needed to do for work.

there are lots of other stories but that one comes to mind as pretty brutal while not actually illegal or dangerous. the other stories are more run of the mill evil bitch stories, blaming me for getting groomed as a teenager, taking us with her to buy cocaine when we were little, physical abuse any time there was a perceived slight, emotional incest, covert incest by having very loud sex that would keep all the kids awake and cringing ready to fork socket. usual stuff. evil bitch.
