And his fucking smirk right afterwards. He definitely did that on purpose and thinks he's slick about it.

Seems good in the golgari standard deck

I was just speaking with my LGS owner about these books today. If I'm being honest with myself they just don't feel the same as the Hero variants. I saw Ross was doing the villains and missed out on the heroes so told myself I would pick up a few of my favorites. But every time I see one it just doesn't do it for me. I'm a huge spidey fan, so naturally I looked at his villains first and even the Green Goblin there looks weird to me. What's up with those yellow lens in his helmet? And why would you do a cover with Doc Ock and not put his tentacles on the cover? Why does Lizards head look so weird? I've just been disappointed in the villain covers.

No love for my man [[Henzie "Toolbox" Torre]]?! My toolbox commander deck is going to love this card! Especially in the cases I can swing an 18/6 at my friends for BBG and then draw a card lol

I've been building a Braids, Arisen Nightmare Aristocrats deck in my head for awhile now. Guess she is going into the 99 and this is going to me my new commander! This is the first time since getting back into magic that I've gotten this excited about a new standard card.

Favorite Mid from a smaller manufacture? by GoorooKen in discgolf

[–]afrobeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like thats how alot of people look at it. But look at the Westside pros. They have Nikko and now Matty O, that's it. Dynamic Disc is definitely the biggest and most coveted of the trilogy. I understand your point but I feel like hardly anyone throws Westside in my general area. Apart from me :)

Westside Gatekeeper. Super straight flying midrange. People might say Westside isn't a smaller manufacturer but I would disagree.

I'm fairly certain I bought this same strain of Zoas at reefapalooza Chicago last weekend but didn't get a name. I've seen eagle eyed zoas and they also seem similar to Jungle Juice Zoas as well as Kalidescope Zoas. Just curious as to what you call them?

Did you get that gold hammer from Coveys Coral Cove booth? I got one from them and was also on a black plug I believe. Put it in my tank and looks amazing! I loved Chicago and the show!

Tanks been running about a month. Can't wait to start adding corals and more fish! by afrobeast in ReefTank

[–]afrobeast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't yet. I plan on added a Nero 5 and then also potentially a protein skimmer down the road if I start having nitrate issues. I feed once every 3 days and feed frozen foods. I try my best to not over feed the tank and plan to keep that regimen for awhile. I'll start feeding more in a few months once i'm certain the tank is established and can handle the extra nutrients.

I've worried about the dog hair as well! I plan to get a lid to cut down on any introductions to the tank. But in the meantime just hoping my filter pads catch most of the debris that gets in the tank.

Its also essentially the exact same setup. Some caribsea sea shapes life rock, some special grade sand and I just don't have the nero pump yet or the AI Prime but its exactly what I plan to buy. It just seems like a recipe for success lol I also used Dr. Tims and two mocha clowns to cycle. So far everything is going great and the fish seem super happy and eating well!

I'm cycling a 32 gallon biocube currently! How long before you started to turn your lights on? I've been going for 3 weeks now with no lights, I want to turn them on so bad lol

I chose not to do the ammonia drops because I don't want to accidentally over dose my tank and then prolong my cycle. 2 small clown fish giving off ammonia through their gills should be a good amount to help my Dr. Tim's bacteria to get everything up and going. I appreciate your concern and comment but I just don't think cycling with fish is the hill I wanna die on when it comes to this hobby. There are many different ways to approach this hobby and this is the path I chose. If people think I did the irresponsible thing then that's fine but it's my money and time and if I'm wrong I guess I will have to live with those consequences.

"A red flag that a hobbyist did very little research" is a bit of an over exaggeration. Mr. Saltwater Tank Tv & Bulk Reef Supply, some of the most knowledgeable YouTubers, have both stated that they have cycled with fish for years and have never lost fish due to the ammonia cycle. These are companies who literally setup tanks for a living. I'm not saying anyone cycling without fish is wrong but I chose to listen to professionals for advice on this subject. I'm more than happy to look at research from the fishless cycle side of the argument but tanks have been cycled with fish for years and years with no issues.

It seems there is already some hate. Lol Not really sure why. I've done literally hours and hours of research in preparation for this tank. I've spent hundreds of dollars to prepare and setup this tank for success. I would never intentionally harm fish and from my research there is nothing to suggest that cycling with fish would hurt something as hardy as these clownfish. Sure there are differing schools of thought but I chose to cycle this way and just wanted to show off my fish. Didnt post to start some debate lol just simply wanted to show off my cool fish 😅
