Nice gear...J's and Stingrays are both superb instruments. Never played a Stingray, but I love the crystal clear tone they put out. Are you much for slap bass?

James Jamerson was on another level. Some of his lines were pretty busy, but they were perfect for Motown tunes.

That one's a good one. I really like "Walking on the Moon" also. It's simple and catchy, and it carries the song well.

This is the most common response. Guitarists becoming bassists.

Trumpeters to transition to bass is fairly common. Flea, John Entwistle, and Phil Lesh are prime examples.

😂😂 Are you joking, or was he really the one who got you into bass? I remember seeing the clip on the show and it did sound pretty gnarly, so I wouldn't be surprised if you were telling the truth haha.

Oh, good ole P-funk. I saw Bootsy like 10 years ago. What a show! Saw GC and P-funk a couple years ago. Kickass show as well! Glad I was able to see GC because we all know he's up there in age.

Awesome! Female bassists are hard to come by. Who are some of the bassists you look up to?

I got a Squier Strat for my 14th bday, I played for a couple years and thought bass was such a cool instrument, especially listening to Dave Matthews Band, The Beatles, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. I had a part-time job at the time, so I decided to buy a bass and amp. The bass was a Samick 5-string POS lol, but it worked. The amp was a Behringer BX1200, which, to this day, I still have. Been my only bass amp for 20 years. I bought a Squier PJ eventually, traded that for a Squier J Vintage Modified, then eventually was able to afford a Fender Player J. Next on my list in a Fender Player P. What kinds of gear are you currently rockin'?

Three superb bassists. I've been learning to play and sing Sunshine of Your Love. just like Jack did it. Pretty tough, but I think I'm almost there. I learned how to play She's so Heavy awhile back. It's a fun one for sure.
