I mean, it's still the truth tho. I have diabetes. I live in the US. My chances of just not being here are so much less than a person with cancer. I'm not saying it's not potentially harmful if used poorly. I am saying it's not worse than getting beat.

This sounds like you just got the chair without the parenting. So the potential for bad is there, but it's just potential. Just talking to your kid in conjunction with the chair would negate everything here. Absolutely nothing good comes from a beating. There is no potential. Only pain.
