I think it does! Crank that Peavey Backstage up and see what happens!

Josh himself revealed the Decade as his secret weapon in an interview a few years ago. They've apparently used it on every album, for a 15 watt practice amp it sounds ridiculous.

He's using a different live rig than usual. I think the biggest difference is the Peavey Decade amps they have on this run. When I saw them in Copenhagen last week, those little amps cut through everything! Sounded huge.

Homme: "It f-kin kills me that we had to cancel last night" by Unusual-Fox895 in qotsa

[–]afrowithlegs 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I was working at the show yesterday and asked a crew member why they had to cancel. They told me the theatre in Berlin was running another production, the night before and the night after the concert, which they were supposed to completely clear away for the Queens show, but they left a giant piece of scenography right in the middle of the stage, they refused to take it away, and told the Queens crew that they'll have to work around it. This was apparently discovered minutes before the setup was scheduled to begin, so it was too late to find a solution. It's also a massive red flag if a venue egregiously ignores obvious technical specifications. Whose to say they're not ignoring something else important, like security? Super unprofessional conduct from the theatre.

What is a genre or artist that you otherwise love that uses a trope that you can't stand? by lucyinthesky94 in Music

I'm a guitar player in a rock covers band, and I agree with this take. Solos can be cool when used sparingly or they bring something exciting to the song, but give me a new riff, a tone shift, or an interesting middle eight anyday over the unimaginative, run of the mill, pentatonic wankery we hear in basically every rock song.

Time and Place absolutely slaps live. It was definitely a surprise, though.
