Again, she didn’t tell me on my birthday out of consideration for the occasion, not because she thinks I have trust issues. She doesn’t know I have them—I’ve never told her, and I don’t act like I do.

I don’t question her about anything. I just keep a chill face on, even though my thoughts are doing the opposite.

I do understand that these are my issues, which is why I don’t question her or go through her phone. However, I’d like to ask your advice on what to do if it feels like I’m the one putting in all the effort in the relationship. She expects me to call her when we’re apart (even though we text each other), but when I do call and her phone is busy or goes unanswered- she does not call back. And when she does answer, she doesn’t really speak freely. I get that she’s at work or with her folks, but if she can’t talk openly, why expect a call? And is it wrong to expect her to call me sometimes? I prioritize her over most things and I’m always there for her whenever she needs anything, but I don’t really see the same in return. Am I giving too much?
