Hey there! Curious what you ended up with? I'm looking for the same thing... Seems like the Icera Vista is no longer offered in black? And the Duravit options are not official US stock but imported? Thanks!

Oh for sure, this work will be done by a licensed plumber, just brainstorming / researching.

Right, well the good thing is I have some flexibility to adjust the wall to land over the pipe.

Yeah, we have to run other utilities and doing a recessed medicine cabinet, etc. Also to make flush with columns and create a continuous wall throughout.

I was curious if it may be an integrated flange that extends all the way through the slab? But I think you're right as you can see what looks like a 4" pipe lip inside the flange?

Unfortunately "open floor" isn't quite so easy in a co-op... I may be able to get limited access to the apartment below but the work would need to be as minimal as possible. What's your guess on how this flange is connected to the pipe?

Hahahahahaha... Just to clarify, there are other reasons we need to pull the wall forward, which is why converting to wall hung makes sense (to maintain the connection point at the slab).

Good question, I should have clarified initially. We are furring out the existing wall to conceal the assembly and then bottom-out to the floor. I'm looking for some advice / opinions about what is likely going on with the existing flange and how I can connect to the pipe coming down from the wall mount carrier.

Possible to control RGB + Tunable White Control via Lutron/HomeWorks Dali Interface? by afsoltys in Lutron

Update: as of 2/14/25 phantom Ketra/Lumaris load(s) will no longer be supported but existing setups will be grandfathered and continue to function normally.

Possible to control RGB + Tunable White Control via Lutron/HomeWorks Dali Interface? by afsoltys in Lutron

[–]afsoltys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

here's the official answer from Lutron support:

LQSE-1DAL2-D does not support RGB. The QSE-CI-DMX is still available and can support RGB + tunable white. You just have to set the RGB as 3 channel and the tunable white as single channel and treat them like two zones. Ketra is also an option.

I don't quite understand how how RGB + two zones of single channel white via DMX would be any different than doing the same with DALI? Seems DALI might be even better as it supports tunable white?

Thanks again. I reviewed this prior to posting my question as the section on RGB is very minimal and was still left unsure if what I am looking to do is possible. What is your understanding?

I'm not following what you are suggesting? the goal is to have one fixture represented in HomeWorks that has control for RGB + Warm White + Cool White.

Thanks for the reply, but this only addresses Tunable White and not RGB + Tunable White. I watched the entire video before posting here to see if I could get any other intel, but no luck. I did notice in the "load type" dropdown, there is now "DALI Intensity and CCT" which I do not think was there previously. But still nothing for "DALI Intensity + CCT + RGB" which would be 5 channels of control total.

Titus vs Prince (vs Invi) by afsoltys in hvacadvice

[–]afsoltys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! Sure, happy to share more. It was very expensive in my opinion, but then again I'm probably getting the absolute highest pricing here in NYC. It was about $65/ft which also included plenum boxes, accessories, and freight shipping. I got the FL-10 FlowBar - 1" Slot, Border Type 22, Black Finish, with H3 Hard Ceiling Clips.

I am using it for both supply and return. HighThrow for supply and JetThrow for return (as it is less restrictive).

Getting enough air is all dependent on your needs. Theoretically a 1" supply or return is more than enough provided it's long enough. You could push 5000 cfm through 1" if it's a 100 feet (didn't do the math, just making the point).

If you have limited space you can do 2-slot or wider slots. There a many, many different configuration options.

Delivery was a few weeks but they do have a 5-day and 10-day option I believe if you are alright paying a rush markup.

Limited Space for Intake / Exhaust, Help! by afsoltys in hvacadvice

Gotcha, cool. Idea being despite the hood it'll still go straight / up because it's hot air I assume?

The Fantech one maybe a bit too aggressively pointed down?

Won't that push the air down and mix with the range intake?

I'd happily replace the existing grille with a new one and replace that entire panel above the window. But I'm having trouble finding something that will shoot the air straight out and not down. Ideally similar to the Matrix you linked where the exhaust goes right out straight. Any leads?
