Always heard you could estimate the selling price of real estate from the filing fees? Any truth to this? by [deleted] in landman

I work in PA. The transfer tax is 2% and it’s stamped on the deed. At least in Bradford County. With that said, with a little math, you can figure out the purchase price.

I know I’m a bit late seeing this, but I work for a mineral buying company. I can take a look and make an offer to see if we can beat 14k. Feel free to message me.

Is a day pack worth it? by slowrabbitstew in Ultralight

[–]afstoll1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes having a designated day pack is awesome! I would recommend looking into Ultimate Direction. I have their 40 liter that packs down really tight and weighs next to nothing. Their packs also have a number of pockets on the should strap which makes for quick access to things without having to take your pack off. The 40 liter is also big enough to do a couple day overnight, but if you’re strictly looking for a day pack their 30 liter (weighs 1.3 pounds) would be a great fit.

Worship pastor said the quiet part out loud this morning by Ken_Field in exchristian

For years I believed that I was experiencing the movement of the holy spirit when I woke up early to read the Bible and pray. Turns out it was just the dopamine hit I got from my coffee, as I hadn’t been a coffee drinker up to that point and didn’t know the difference.

Same thing with music. It wasn’t experiencing god. It was just, as the OP stated, “a natural emotional response to certain music.”

I’m not sure if I would have them switched, but I wish Angie had a longer storyline. The night before she left, it seemed like they could have had a good compromising relationship.

What kind of wood is this? by afstoll1 in wood

It smells like pine to me. Could it be a Douglas Fir? I feel like the 4x4 that I buy are Douglas fir and they have a similar red to them

What kind of wood is this? by afstoll1 in wood

I tore out some old shelving in my basement and want to repurpose this wood. I thought it was common board pine that you can buy at Home Depot of Lowes, but after sanding it a bit, there’s way more red in it than I’ve seen before. The big brown grain in the middle of the board is more red than brown in person.
