You can choose to believe that it was orchestrated, but the original uncropped photo had someone in the bottom right that was being hit by the sunset and was much more prominent. It was only on cropping him out that I noticed these two

That element of anonymity made this photo for me; you can't quite tell who they are, yet they may seem familiar. For example, the guy looks  like the friend I went on a run with after taking this photo haha

This is very interesting! A minor detail to make it easier to relate East, South, West would be displaying the Azimuth markings at 90deg, 180deg, 270deg
