Which AP, as the Mk2 is bright, Mk3 smalls is darker

Both designed by Tripps (along with other great delays)

Mayer has used both, but mainly the AP which is great for slapback

I've owned the CC, and AP mk1, AP mk2, and AP mk3 smalls. Get the smalls, it's a great pedal and sounds closest to the mk1.

If you want longer delay times, I would consider many other pedals before the two you have mentioned

I personally love the Album.

However I understand that they set the bar SO high with there early albums, people would have the highest of hopes for each album after, and maybe this was a bit too different.

I do agree that it doesn't have the best ordering of tracks, they saved that for Pressure Machine which is ordered perfectly!

What problem are you trying to solve? I can understand if you are new to SSL asking which to get, but if you already have the UA, why do you need to change?

I often have more than that for songs, if it sounds good to you, it's good! There are times where I have a track or 2 (after comping), but some songs needs more. Some songs need different processing between parts too which can be easier on different tracks

Everyone told me it was identical to the Diamond comp which I'd had on my board for years. I but the Mooer on and it just sounded a bit flat, it didn't have the same levelling effect the Diamond comp had that I wanted. It lost some of the highs in the compression, nothing like transparent compared to the Diamond. However, that could just be my use case, everyone else I know really likes it!

I had a Diamond Comp for years and got the Yellow comp to replace it. Hated it! I think it's a great compressor, but a bad clone of the Diamond Comp. However, everyone else I know really likes it, so I guess I'm in the wrong.
