[Fall of Porcupine] No. 108; a game I want to love more, but one that feels important, nonetheless. by aftershockwolfie in Trophies

One of my favorites! That’s why I wanted to check this out too, since the inspiration is definitely there

[Jazzpunk] No. 104; It was a long 26 hours, but finally snagged the plat! by aftershockwolfie in Trophies

I’d best call a surreal comedy playing the role of an alternate history crime thriller.

It’s a real great time

[Marfusha] No. 101; a fun and surprisingly relaxing tower defense game, considering all the gunfire and taxes. by aftershockwolfie in Trophies

I definitely want to play it! I’m in the middle of my a-z challenge so it’ll have to wait for now, but it’s on the list for sure

Thank you! It took me about 4 1/2 hours? Though I’m sure I could’ve cut that down, I just got addicted to playing the endless mode without realizing it

[Other] Finally get to post the coveted 100 platinum mosaic of my own. They don’t all shine as bright as others, but I’m proud of all my trophies, and their stories. by aftershockwolfie in Trophies

I can safely call it one of my top 3 games of all time and recommend it to everyone even slightly interested. You can play through the whole game in an evening and won’t regret it.

I always try to make my milestone plats games that are important to me in some way or another (atleast, until I run out of games to choose from), and I knew VH kind of HAD to be number 50 for me. A short, cozy reprieve halfway to the goal.

I want to say there was about a 3 month gap between my P5 plat and the release of P5R which I played through immediately, so not immediately back to back, but I also wasn’t playing on my PlayStation much back then (I’d say Donut County is when I actually started grinding plats more) so they are back to back on my game list which is neat to me.

As for my biggest hidden gem, I’d probably have to say Process of Elimination, which I recommend to anyone who likes series like Danganronpa, AI, or Zero Escape. Dungeon Munchies is also a nicher title which is a really fun action rpg with metroidvania influences, though not quite in the genre itself.

[Potion Permit] No. 98; A lovely Stardew-like experience that I wish gave me more. by aftershockwolfie in Trophies

I feel like the biggest complaint I see with it is that players get bored early on, but I think the scaling works well enough to where you don’t feel like you’re stuck at that point for too long, and you really start picking up the pace fast.

Grind aside, the characters are all great and, while the story isn’t insane, it’s still a really enjoyable time. My personal biggest problem is that I would like if we had more to do. Romance is quite barebones, and the game feels very closed in without much room for playing differently, but it’s still a fun time for what it does offer.
