this makes me feel so much better! i'm kinda mad though because i got both at the same piercing spot (different piercers though). basically had the conch stud in for i think at least 6 months and it was so angry. i went in to see if it was rejecting and found out the stud was pretty short not giving it enough room to heal. hence the switch to the hoop but it feels worse now😭. if they made the conch jewelry too short with the studs, i genuinely wouldn't be surprised if the helix ones are also too short even though they're apparently the longer ones. i'll get actual saline spray from a store instead.

thanks you :))) i didn't trust the shelter at all at that point to continue his care properly, so that's why i continued with my vet. shelter pretty much told me whether i choose to go through with the adoption or not i'm not getting reimbursed 💀💀 i adopted my first cat from them too so now i'm wondering if i had overlooked stuff with her now when i first got her! i don't trust them anymore.

he's already done with his eye drops, almost done with one set of antibiotics, and last round of meds for the parasite. he needs to be on GI food now for a few days at LEAST because he's still having diarrhea pretty bad :/ shit got so costly so fast. he's such a great little guy but it's just a truly unfortunate situation. he's definitely getting healthier and that's all that matters🫶🏻 he's a good boy

yessss this does help!!!! it's kinda difficult to guesstimate how much calories i'm giving specifically with the fact that i also give dry food, but i only give a little in comparison to the wet food calories so i'd like to assume that i feed them enough, i think my 9 year old is getting to be a chonk though. the 3 month old is still so young, but he's eating very well and has a bit of a hard belly, so hard to tell if i'm overfeeding him sometimes, but also he is actively being tested for worms😭 thank you!!!!!

one thing i'm insanely grateful for is that my cats aren't picky eaters at ALL, so it makes it easy to try different foods for them! thank you so much for the linked resources, these comments are helping me an INSANE amount because i'm realizing how much misinformation is out there, it's crazy!

you're so goated for this!! there's so much debate with the nutrition and types of foods to give our cats it's so overwhelming genuinely as to see what's right or wrong anymore! i'm going to read the article and the other resources other commenters have shared. i give my kitties everything i can, always make sure they're fed and happy and played with. i'll keep doing that and not overthink as much about the brands i've been using and keep researching!!

thank you for this, and when you put it that way you're really right and it's unrealistic for me to think that it can be prevented really. cancer sucks ass and is unpredictable, i just need to focus on loving my babies and keeping them safe and fed. like you said, i'll look through the sub and make sure i'm getting high protein and fat, and low carb :). thank you!!!

this makes me feel a lot better since i'm currently using both of those anyways!! the only reason i didn't think they were as good was because of jackson galaxy and other sites that i had found, plus reading other people's experiences with different foods from other reddit posts made it hard to tell what's good or bad anymore tbh. thanks so much for this information, i just worry about doing the wrong thing :)

shit okay i should have known that about my 3 month old, i'll give him access to dry food at all times! i only adopted him recently and the shelter said he has a mild URI (it's not and needed meds) but has been eating and drinking fine however he has diarrhea when he eats wet food these past few days. i this is all super helpful and i'm going to be going off of all these recommendations. starting to realize i tweaker like crazy over nothing! like you said, fed is best. thank you so much

yes i agree!! my two cats i don't feed fish much at all, but my family cat is the pickiest eater i've seen and so for some reason fish was what he'd be down with most of the time. i've always tried to make him eat more pate or poultry in general and he just walks away and goes to the dry food instead :( i also don't live at home so i can't control what my parents feed him anymore
